Kort samengevat
Dit is een scenario voor de eindtijd gebaseerd op de boeken Daniël, Zacharia en Openbaring. De belangrijkste basis voor onze veronderstelling is de datum van 7 oktober 2023. Sinds die datum bevinden de Palestijnen, die al 75 jaar verraden en geterroriseerd werden, zich in een levende hel. We beschouwen 7 oktober 2023 daarom als het begin van de 70e week van Daniël, het 'verbond dat voor velen zwaar is geworden' door de machten van het rijk.
Dit scenario voor het einde der tijden beschrijft de volgende opeenvolging van gebeurtenissen:
1. De opname van de kerk,
verwacht in november 2026
2. Zegel 1 - De redding van de Palestijnen (wit paard),
verwacht in februari 2027
3. Zegel 2 - Invasie van Israël door Iran, de Wereldoorlog III (rood paard),
verwacht in april 2027
4. De nederlaag van het overbelaste Iran door de VS (groot zwaard),
verwacht in augustus 2027
5. Zegels 3-5
De opbouw van het beestsysteem vanuit het verwoeste Israël, door middel van de vernietiging van de toeleveringsketens (3e zegel, het zwarte paard) en de massamoord op dissidenten, plus het uitlokken van epidemieën (4e zegel, het bleke paard en het 5e zegel)
Geschatte duur: ca 1 jaar.
6. Zegel 6
Een grote wereldwijde aardbeving (zesde zegel), die het rijk bijna op de knieën dwingt.
Verwacht in augustus 2028.
7. Intermezzo
Het scheiden van de 144.000 van de twaalf stammen van Israël (waarschijnlijk voornamelijk Palestijnen) en hen verzegelen als de herauten van de komende Koning, de spoedig terugkerende Jezus. Zij brengen het evangelie van het koninkrijk van God. Zij die de boodschap gehoorzamen, zullen zegevierend uit de grote verdrukking komen en het eeuwige koninkrijk binnengaan.

8. Trompetten 1-4
Kosmische rampen, waarschijnlijk veroorzaakt door meerdere inslagen van een meteoriet
Verwacht: april 2029
9. Trompetten 5,6
Implementatie van het beestsysteem - te zien in het beeld van het beest, de realtime digitale kopie van alle objecten en personen in het rijk. Trompet 5 - de politieke druk, weergegeven door een leger sprinkhanen met een angel in hun schorpioenstaart die 'pijn doet'. Trompet 6: de militaire dwang - paarden met leeuwenkoppen - ook met staarten die 'pijn doen'.
Duur: Trompetten 5 en 6 zullen samen 1,5 jaar duren.
10. Schalen 1-4
Hemelse aanval op het Amerikaanse imperium, het beestsysteem, door de eerste vier schalen, met verwoestende gevolgen: huidziekten, watervervuiling, zonnevlammen.

11. Schaal 5
wordt uitgestort over 'de troon van het beest' (het digitale beeld in Jeruzalem waarmee het beest de totale controle uitoefende), waardoor het imperium in totale duisternis gehuld wordt. Deze schaal zou een opstand van Palestijnen uit hun schuilplaatsen kunnen symboliseren, die Jeruzalem innemen

Het opdrogen van de Eufraat, gebruikt door het beest om de meeste legers wereldwijd naar Israël te mobiliseren om de controle over het systeem terug te winnen

De tweede wereldwijde aardbeving, samen met enorme hagelstenen die neerdalen op het rijk van het beest

3,5 jaar Eindtijd
Zoals vermeld op de homepage en op de pagina met onze definitie van de eindtijd, stellen wij dat de eindtijd de laatste 3,5 jaar vóór de wederkomst van Jezus omvat. Argumenten voor dit standpunt worden verderop op deze pagina ook uiteengezet. De eindtijd is het einde van circa 2600 jaar menselijke geschiedenis onder de heerschappij van de rijken, die zelf worden bestuurd vanuit de onzichtbare wereld, met de invloed van Satan als de meest directe macht. De afbeelding hierboven toont onze visie op de 3,5 jaar van de eindtijd, samengevat in een grafiek. De grijze tinten geven de toenemende duisternis tijdens de eindtijd weer. De laatste 1,5 jaar zullen verreweg het moeilijkst te overleven zijn. De rode lijngrafiek toont de fluctuerende macht van het rijk vlak voor en tijdens de eindtijd. De ronde afbeeldingen tonen de gebeurtenissen van de eindtijd onder de 7 zegels, de 7 bazuinen en de 7 schalen. De onderste lijn onder de afbeelding toont onze huidige schatting van de maanden waarin de gebeurtenissen van de eindtijd zich zouden ontvouwen, een schatting gemaakt op 20 augustus 2026. Deze schatting is gebaseerd op tekenen in de hemel en op aarde. We gaan eerst in op de tekenen waarop onze huidige verwachtingen van de eindtijd zijn gebaseerd. Vervolgens leggen we de bovengenoemde fasen van de eindtijd in meer detail uit.
De tekenen
1. Op 7 oktober 2023 begon een regelrechte genocide in Gaza, evenals een grootschalige aanval en etnische zuivering van Palestijnen op de Westelijke Jordaanoever. Momenteel beschouwen we deze datum als het begin van de 70e week van Daniël, de laatste 7 jaar vóór de wederkomst van Jezus, gebaseerd op Bijbelteksten die deze 7 jaar beschrijven als een zeer verontrustende tijd voor het volk van de Allerhoogste (Jeremia 30:7, Daniël 7:21, 25, Daniël 9:27, Openbaring 12:13, Zacharia 13:9, Zacharia 14:1,2).
2. De situatie van zowel de Palestijnen in Gaza als die op de Westelijke Jordaanoever is volkomen hopeloos geworden. De 'raad van vrede' is niets anders gebleken dan een dekmantel voor Israëls beleid van etnische zuivering, dat het op de Westelijke Jordaanoever in een ongekend tempo voortzet. En wat zegt de profetie? '...en de rest van het volk zal niet uit de stad worden verdreven' (Zacharia 14:2). De Nakba van 1948, die de helft van de Palestijnen van hun huizen en land verdreef, heeft bijna zijn hoogtepunt bereikt. Hierna volgt: "...Dan zal de HEER uittrekken en tegen die volken strijden, zoals Hij op de dag van de strijd heeft gestreden" (Zacharia 14:3). 'Die volken' zijn de IDF-soldaten en kolonisten die minder verbonden zijn met het oude Israël en vaak niet eens Joden zijn, maar zich om politieke redenen als zodanig voordoen. Zacharia 14:3-6 is direct verbonden met het witte paard uit Openbaring 6:1,2 en Openbaring 12:14-17.
3. Als oktober 2023 het begin van 'de laatste week' zou zijn en april 2027 het begin van de tweede helft van de laatste week, de eindtijd, dan zal de wereld in april 2027 de 'gruwel der verwoesting' zien. Verschillende Bijbelteksten wijzen naar de gruwel der verwoesting als het begin van de laatste 3,5 jaar (Daniël 7:25, Daniël 9:27, Daniël 11:39, Daniël 12:11, Mattheüs 24:15, 2 Thessalonicenzen 2:3,4, Openbaring 13:5). We verwachten dat dit een belediging voor de islam in Al-Aqsa zal zijn. Sinds het jaar 2000 is er een verergerende, politiek gemotiveerde religieuze crisis rond het Al-Aqsa-complex, die na 7 oktober 2023 sterk is verergerd, met dagelijkse invallen van Joodse kolonisten op het Al-Aqsa-terrein, terwijl de toegang voor moslims wordt geblokkeerd.
4. Om de machthebbers achter het imperium ertoe te bewegen de islam in de Al-Aqsa-moskee te beledigen om Iran tot een invasie van Israël uit te lokken (Daniël 11:39-45, Jesaja 28:14-19, Zacharia 13:8), moet er een dringende noodzaak voor zijn. Israël is vanaf het begin de meest gekoesterde en beschermde bondgenoot van het Amerikaanse imperium geweest. Maar de rampzalige oorlog tussen de VS en Iran heeft de VS op de rand van het verlies van hun wereldhegemonie gebracht. Sinds februari 2026 heeft het Amerikaanse imperium alle reden om Iran tot een overmoed te verleiden. De Al-Aqsa-moskee zou het perfecte lokaas kunnen zijn.
5. Volgens de profetie zal de invasie van Israël door Iran 'Edom, Moab en Ammon' niet treffen (Daniël 11:40-45) - in moderne tijden zou dat Saoedi-Arabië en Jordanië zijn. De invasie zou dus via Irak, Syrië en Libanon verlopen. Is het niet opvallend dat Iran in elk van deze landen gelieerde verzetsgroepen heeft en dat de regeringen van deze landen door de Amerikaanse interventie in de afgelopen decennia zeer verzwakt zijn? Bovendien is de VS van plan zich terug te trekken uit Irak (30 september 2026) en zijn de Koerdische oppositiekrachten, die jarenlang Amerikaanse proxy's waren, ernstig verzwakt door recente Iraanse operaties op Iraaks grondgebied. Dit alles zou een voorbereiding kunnen zijn op een Iraanse invasie van Israël in de nabije toekomst.
6. Overal ter wereld nemen de spanningen tussen landen en volkeren toe. De Oekraïense proxy-oorlog tegen Rusland wordt met de dag gewelddadiger. Landen in Zuidoost-Azië worden voorbereid op een aanval op China. De haat tegen minderheden, vluchtelingen en illegale immigranten neemt in veel westerse landen toe. De wereld is veranderd in een kruitvat dat wacht op de ontsteking van de vonk. Dit zou betekenen dat het rode paard van het tweede zegel, waarop 'de vrede van de aarde zal worden weggenomen en mensen elkaar zullen afslachten', om de hoek staat.
7. Sinds de Oekraïense proxy-oorlog tegen Rusland is de export van kunstmest, energie en graan vanuit zowel Rusland als Oekraïne gedaald, maar deze is nog verder afgenomen sinds de toenemende spanningen in de Zwarte Zee in juli/augustus 2026. Sinds de Amerikaanse oorlog tegen Iran, die begon op 28 februari 2026, is de Straat van Hormuz praktisch afgesloten en is de scheepvaart gedaald tot ongeveer 10% van het niveau van vóór de oorlog. Daarnaast blokkeren de Jemenitische Ansarallah-strijders de Rode Zee voor Saoedisch verkeer. Bovendien zijn veel raffinaderijen in de Golfstaten zwaar beschadigd. Dit alles heeft gevolgen voor de wereldwijde aanvoer van zowel diesel als kunstmest. Veel analisten voorspellen dat er binnen een jaar een hongersnood zal uitbreken. Dat zou de vervulling kunnen zijn van het zwarte paard van het derde zegel.
8. Vijf en een half jaar na 7 oktober 2023, om precies te zijn: op vrijdag 13 april 2029 zal een asteroïde dichter bij de aarde komen dan de buitenste ring van satellieten. Deze asteroïde heet 'Apophis', naar de Egyptische god van de chaos. Men gelooft dat de aarde niet zal worden getroffen, maar dat zou een valse geruststelling kunnen zijn om paniek onder de bevolking te voorkomen. Er zijn ook onzekere factoren, zoals mogelijke koerswijzigingen, de invloed van de zwaartekracht op de vreemde schommelingen van de asteroïde en op de vreemde 8-vorm en de nogal 'losse' inhoud ervan.
9. Op 23 september 2017 verscheen er een hemelteken aan de hemel dat precies overeenkwam met de grote tekenen waarover Openbaring 12 spreekt. Sindsdien is er ook een oorlog in de hemel te zien, die eindigt met de neerdaling van 'de duivelse komeet', 12P/Pons-Brooks, uit de muil van de draak, ver in het noorden, tot diep in het zuiden - zoals geprofeteerd in Openbaring 12. Tijdens deze afdaling begon de genocide in Gaza op 7 oktober 2023, precies zoals voorspeld in Openbaring 12:13. We kunnen daarom de spoedige vervulling van Openbaring 12:14-17 verwachten, gekoppeld aan het witte paard (Openbaring 6:1,2) en Zacharia 14:3-6, zoals vermeld in punt 2.
10. De opkomst van zowel de rekenkracht van AI als de capaciteit van datacenters heeft de wereld klaar gemaakt voor een realtime kopie van het complete Amerikaanse imperium, het beeld van het beest, dat aan het wereldwijde publiek zal worden opgedrongen zodra de VS hun wereldheerschappij hebben herwonnen. We zien de ontmanteling van het beestsysteem onder de vijfde bazuin en de militaire dwang onder de zesde bazuin. Na anderhalf jaar van totale technocratische tirannie zal Jezus terugkeren om het beestsysteem te vernietigen en het wereldwijde koninkrijk van zijn Vader te vestigen.
1. De Opname
Voor christenen is de belangrijkste kwestie van de eindtijd het moment van de opname van de kerk. In Openbaring 3:10 belooft de Heer zijn trouwe kerk te beschermen tegen het uur van de verleiding. In Endtime Visions hebben we betoogd dat Jezus binnen enkele maanden voor het begin van het 3,5 jaar durende 'uur van de verleiding' of 'grote verdrukking' zal komen voor zijn kerk. We herhalen deze argumenten onderaan deze pagina. De opname markeert het einde van het 'kerk-tijdperk' en wordt symbolisch weergegeven in de 'opkomst' van Johannes in Openbaring 4:1 met een 'stem als een bazuin'.
In Openbaring 12 in de Sterren laten we zien dat sinds 23 september 2017 elk detail van hoofdstuk 12 van Openbaring zich afspeelt in de sterrenhemel. De verdrijving van de draak naar de aarde is te zien in de val van komeet 12P/Pons-Brooks, die sinds juli 2023 'de duivelkomeet' wordt genoemd. Hij viel van hoog in het noorden naar diep in het zuiden – het meest zichtbaar tijdens de zonsverduistering van 8 april 2024. De opname zou kunnen worden weergegeven in de uitroep uit de hemel na de verdrijving van de draak naar de aarde: 'Verheugt u, hemelen, en gij die daarin woont' (Openbaring 12:12). Het equivalent van deze triomfantelijke uitroep namens hen die 'in de hemel wonen' was te zien in de sterren van 12 augustus 2025, de conjunctie van Venus en Jupiter in Tweelingen, het teken dat de kerk met Christus is. Het was de achtste Venus-Jupiter conjunctie na het teken van Openbaring 12 in 2017 - zeven voor de zeven kerken op aarde - de zeven kerkfasen in de geschiedenis (Openbaring 2, 3), de achtste voor de opname van de kerk. Sinds 12 augustus 2025 kijken we dan ook reikhalzend uit naar de opname. Maar ondertussen heeft de negende Venus-Jupiter conjunctie plaatsgevonden op 9 juni 2026, de tweede in Tweelingen.
Het is nu augustus 2026. Wanneer kunnen we de opname dan verwachten? Onderaan deze pagina leggen we uit waarom we denken dat de opname een paar maanden voor het begin van de tweede helft van Daniëls 70e week zal plaatsvinden, dus net voor de laatste 3,5 jaar tot Jezus' wederkomst. Dit is een visie die dicht bij het midden van de verdrukking ligt, als die volledige week van 7 jaar als 'verdrukking' wordt beschouwd. Het is inderdaad een weeklange beproeving voor de ware afstammelingen van het oude Israël, zoals de enige tekst over deze laatste 'week' van 7 jaar duidelijk maakt: 'En hij (de vertegenwoordiger van het rijk) zal het verbond (een 'deal' met de centrale bankiers, de zogenaamde Balfour-verklaring) voor velen (de Palestijnen) een week lang zwaar maken (7 jaar). Het is de tijd van Jakobs benauwdheid (Jeremia 30:7). Gezien de sterke toename van geweld tegen Palestijnen sinds 7 oktober 2023, beschouwen we 7 oktober 2023 nu als het begin van Daniëls 70e week. In dat geval zou het midden van de week rond 7 april 2027 vallen.
Als de sterren een indicatie zouden zijn voor de opname, moeten we kijken naar de baan van Venus, 'de heldere Morgenster', zoals Jezus zichzelf noemde. Venus verandert regelmatig van positie, van morgenster naar avondster en weer terug. Rond 23 oktober 2026 wisselt Venus opnieuw van positie, van avondster naar morgenster in Maagd, terwijl ze retrograde is. Tijdens haar retrograde beweging keert Venus terug naar Maagd, omcirkelt 'Sprica', de aar te midden van de korenbundel in de hand van Maagd, en begint van daaruit de zon te volgen op haar 'gewone baan'. Op 14 november staat Venus precies op de lijn tussen Spica en Porrima (de ster bij de elleboog van Maagd). Dat is ongeveer 5 maanden voor 'het midden van de week' - de 7 jaar die volgens ons begonnen op 7 oktober 2023, met een middelpunt in april 2027. Een opname op 14 november 2026 zou voldoende tijd overlaten voor gebeurtenissen die volgens de profetie plaatsvinden tussen de opname en het begin van de grote verdrukking. Zoals we hieronder bespreken, is een exacte positie halverwege de verdrukking niet in overeenstemming met de Schrift vanwege gebeurtenissen die zullen plaatsvinden tussen de opname en het uitbreken van wereldwijde chaos.
De afbeelding van de korenbundel in de hand van Virgo, met de ster 'Spica', de 'aar', in het midden, is rijk aan symboliek. Jezus vergeleek zijn dood aan het kruis met het vallen van een 'korenkorrel': 'Voorwaar, voorwaar, ik zeg u: als een korenkorrel niet in de aarde valt en sterft, blijft hij alleen; maar als hij sterft, brengt hij veel vrucht voort.' (Johannes 12:24). Op de dag van Christus' dood was het de volle maan die 'viel' vanuit de ster 'Spica' naar de voeten van Virgo. Paulus vergeleek de dood en de toekomstige opstanding van gelovigen (die zal plaatsvinden bij de opname - 1 Thessalonicenzen 4:17) ook met het zaaien van zaad en de oogst - 1 Korintiërs 15:42-44. Evenzo zien we dood en overwinning centraal staan in Openbaring 12, dat centraal staat in Openbaring: 'En zij hebben hem overwonnen door het bloed van het Lam en door het woord van hun getuigenis; en zij hadden hun leven niet lief tot de dood toe' (Openbaring 12:11). De aanwijzingen voor de opname in de hemel worden nader bestudeerd op onze pagina 'Opname in de sterren'.
De sterrenbeelden Leeuw en Maagd lijken zeer belangrijke signalen te zijn voor Gods handelen:
(1) Op de dag van Christus' dood daalde de volle maan neer uit de hand van Maagd naar haar voeten, als het graan dat op de grond viel, zoals Jezus kort voor zijn lijden profeteerde.
(2) Het teken van Openbaring 12 bestaat uit Maagd (de zwangere vrouw) en Leeuw (samen met Venus, Mars en Mercurius de kroon van twaalf sterren vormend). Samen met de zon op haar schouder, de maan aan haar voeten en Jupiter in haar (gedurende 9 maanden), vertoonde de hemel van 23 september 2017 een perfecte overeenkomst met Openbaring 12:1-6.
(3) Kort voor 7 oktober 2023 bereikte een komeet het perihelium (zijn dichtstbijzijnde punt bij de zon) terwijl hij langs de staart van Leeuw en door de borst van Maagd trok, om op 7 oktober 2023 te eindigen bij de staart van de grote slang.
(4) Als onze voorspelling juist blijkt te zijn, zou de opname plaatsvinden met Mars en Jupiter net onder de mond van Leeuw (de Heer Zelf die neerdaalt met een bevel, met de stem van de aartsengel), met Venus bij Spica, de aar in de hand van Maagd, en met Mercurius bij een ster dicht bij de voeten van Maagd.
2. De zeven zegels
De eindtijd begint enkele maanden na de opname van de kerk, die we nu verwachten in november 2026 – gebaseerd op de baan van Venus aan de hemel. Kort na de opname zal het Lam de boekrol nemen en de zeven zegels openen. De opening van het eerste zegel luidt het ingrijpen van de Heer in ten behoeve van zijn vervolgde volk in het land, de Palestijnen (Openbaring 6:1,2). Het witte paard van het eerste zegel komt overeen met de vleugels van de grote arend uit Openbaring 12:14-16 en de strijd van de Heer voor zijn volk in Zacharia 14:3-6. De opening van het tweede zegel zet de gebeurtenissen van de eindtijd in gang, die zich gedurende de laatste 3,5 jaar zullen ontvouwen: 'de grote verdrukking'. Het rode paard van het tweede zegel komt overeen met Openbaring 11:2, Openbaring 12:17, Openbaring 13:5, Daniël 9:27, Daniël 11:39,40, Daniël 12:7 en 11, Mattheüs 24:15. De zegels 3-5 tonen de dramatische gevolgen van de oorlog die onder het tweede zegel zal uitbreken: hongersnood, dood en martelaarschap. We verwachten dat de gebeurtenissen die verband houden met de opening van deze zegels elkaar binnen een jaar zullen opvolgen, omdat de gebeurtenissen van de zegels met elkaar verbonden zijn en de ene de volgende oproept.

Dat de zegels nauw met elkaar verbonden zijn, blijkt ook uit het 'zwaard' en de 'hongersnood' van zegel 2 en 3, die in zegel 4 terugkeren als doodsoorzaken (Openbaring 6:8). Het effect van de dood onder het zwaard van zegel 4 is te zien in de martelaren van het vijfde zegel. De aardbeving van het zesde zegel is Gods reactie op de ongekende wetteloosheid van het rijk, zoals die wordt getoond in zegels 2-5.
Met de eerste zes zegels zullen de gebeurtenissen op aarde enorm versnellen, zoals een waterstroom die een lawine nadert. Wat voorheen tientallen jaren duurde, zal dan binnen een paar jaar gebeuren. Bovendien bereidt de wereld zich al lange tijd voor op oorlog, hongersnood en massale sterfte. Diverse conflicten kunnen elk moment uitmonden in een wereldoorlog: de oorlog in Oekraïne, de oorlog in Palestina, de oorlog van de VS tegen Iran en de spanningen met China. De positie van boeren is wereldwijd verslechterd, waardoor de mensheid extreem kwetsbaar is voor voedselcrises. De oorlog tussen de VS en Iran heeft de energiestroom ernstig verstoord. De aanvoerlijnen zijn geconcentreerd in zeer kleine handen, die de levering van energie, voedsel en water gemakkelijk kunnen afsluiten. Regeringen hebben hun uitvoerende macht krachtig versterkt om degenen die zich durven te verzetten te controleren en te demoniseren. We schatten daarom dat de gebeurtenissen van de zegels 2 tot en met 6 zich gemakkelijk allemaal binnen één jaar zouden kunnen afspelen.
We hebben goede redenen om aan te nemen dat het witte paard van het eerste zegel niets te maken heeft met de antichrist (zoals algemeen wordt aangenomen), maar dat het de tussenkomst van God en zijn engelen vertegenwoordigt ten behoeve van het heilige volk dat op het punt staat vernietigd te worden, namelijk het Palestijnse volk, dat bestaat uit de ware Israëlieten. Zoals reeds vermeld, zien we het witte paard van het eerste zegel in verband met de twee vleugels van de grote adelaar uit Openbaring 12, die 'de vrouw', Gods vervolgde volk, buiten het bereik van de draak zal brengen. In de sterrenhemel heeft het sterrenbeeld Boogschutter, dat precies overeenkomt met het witte paard uit Openbaring 6:1,2, met een boog en een kroon, een schild en een adelaar recht boven zijn hoofd. We gaan dieper in op deze zaken op onze pagina 'Eindtijd in de Sterren'. Na Gods reddingsoperatie, die natuurlijk enige tijd zal duren, zal zijn volk in de woestijn gevoed worden gedurende 'een tijd, tijden en een halve tijd'. Gods volk in het land zal dus veilig zijn gedurende de laatste 3,5 jaar. Dat betekent dat ze kort voor het begin van de 3,5-jarige Eindtijd gered zullen worden. Als de baan van Venus een indicatie is, zou het witte paard van het eerste zegel rond 3 februari 2027 verschijnen. Dan staat Venus voor de boog van Boogschutter, terwijl de maan recht voor de centrale ster 'Nunki' staat en deze verduistert.
Net als de opname van de kerk zal de redding van de Palestijnen als een totale verrassing komen voor de wereld, die hen volledig heeft willen vernietigen. De machten van deze wereld zullen tijd nodig hebben om zich aan te passen aan Gods plotselinge reddingsoperatie. Daarom zal het enige tijd duren voordat het rijk zal reageren. Maar wanneer het reageert, zal het lijnrecht tegenover de Allerhoogste staan. De 'keizer' zal zich in de heilige plaats vestigen alsof hij God is, zoals Paulus aangeeft in 2 Thessalonicenzen 2:4. Dat is 'de gruwel die verwoesting zal aanrichten' (Daniël 12:11, Mattheüs 24:15), het rode paard van oorlog en vernietiging.
De machten achter de schermen willen al lange tijd een tempel in Jeruzalem bouwen. Het idee ontstond tijdens de kruistochten van de Tempeliers, die in de 14e eeuw ondergronds gingen. Zij waren de machten achter de stichting van het Amerikaanse imperium. Dit is de reden waarom de zegelrampen worden voorgesteld als 'ruiters'. Wij geloven dat er geen tempel zal worden gebouwd vanwege het verzet van de moslimnaties. Uit frustratie zal 'de keizer' zich in een van de moskeeën op de 'Haram al Sharif' vestigen. De woede die dit in het hele Midden-Oosten zal ontketenen, is niet moeilijk voor te stellen. Daarom wordt deze daad 'de gruwel der verwoesting' genoemd. De godslasterlijke daad van de keizer zal de wereld in vuur en vlam zetten. Het is het rode paard van het tweede zegel. Natuurlijk kan een dergelijke daad alleen plaatsvinden na een lange militaire en diplomatieke strijd, die we sinds februari 2026 hebben zien ontvouwen.
We verwachten het rode paard van het tweede zegel (Openbaring 6:3,4) ongeveer 3,5 jaar na 7 oktober 2023, wat volgens onze schatting het begin is van Daniëls 70e week. Als het rode paard samenvalt met de gruwel der verwoesting - zoals wij stellen - dan zou het rode paard midden in 'de week' verschijnen.

Rapture: 5 months before the start of the Endtime of 3.5 years
Seven seals, opened by Jesus in heaven:
1. White horse - Rescue of God's true people: 2 months before the Endtime
This will reduce the power of the empire, the world being astonished by God's intervention.
2. Red horse = Abomination of Desolation - the desecration of a holy site by the empire, this won't be the Jewish temple - it will be a Mosque, probably Al Aqsa - this will start WWIII and thereby the Endtime.
This will first reduce the power of the empire, Iran taking control of the Middle East but it will overstretch and be defeated.
3. Black horse - Worldwide famine caused by war: 7 months into the Endtime - Failed harvests from October 2028 onwards
4. Pale horse - Massive death - multiple causes: 11 months into the Endtime
5. Martyrs - Those beheaded by the empire, pleading for revenge
6. World wide quake - Enormous reduction in the power of the empire: about 1.5 years into the Endtime
After the quake of seal 6, there will be a relatively quiet period of about 5 months. The worldwide quake is not directly followed by other calamities in order for the 144,000 of Israel, to be sealed by angels. These 144,000 will bring the gospel of the kingdom (Mathew 24:14). Their testimony will bring large masses of people to repentance and knowledge of the Lord. Those masses will eventually enter the kingdom of God, once Jesus has returned.
7. While the empire is recovering, the 7th seal is opened, leading up to the 7 trumpets
Seven trumpets, blown by angels. The first four trumpets will last about 1 month.
1. Burning of 1/3rd of trees and all the grass
2. Devastation of 1/3rd of ships and sea life and coastlines (tsunami's)
3. Poisoning of 1/3rd of waterresources
4. Darkening of 1/3rd of heavenly bodies
The first four trumpets will again reduce the power of the empire.
An eagle will announce the terrible blows to humanity by the last 3 trumpets. called the three woe's.
5. The locusts from the abyss (first woe)
About two months after trumpet 4, the empire is suddenly revived by demonic forces from 'the abyss', which in Revelation 9 are described as locusts. Their effect is enormous political pressure to take 'the mark of the beast' (described as 'hurt'). Their activity will hold on for 5 months. The empire empowered. It comes up 'from the abyss' (Revelation 17:8)
6. The battle horses with lion's heads (second woe)
Directly after the locusts, with their political pressure, follows military pressure to accept the mark of the beast. The horses are described to have 'hurt' in their tails and fire in their mouths. One third of mankind prefers death above the 'hurt', eternal damnation by God because of siding with the most evil system that was ever set up by man. This military tyranny will last for 13 months until the end of the Endtime. If Jesus wouldn't return, humanity would be forever imprisoned by totally demonic evil.
7. The seventh and last trumpet (third woe) leads to God's total judgment upon the empire, described in 7 vials of plagues, mingled with God's wrath, being poured out on earth. This will only take about two months. The empire will prove to be nothing compared to the power of God Almighty. At the sixth vial, most of the world's armies will gather around Jerusalem, the control center of the evil empire. At the seventh vial, all infrastructure of the empire will be leveled and its armies will be destroyed by Jesus, Who returns on a white horse.
After the return of Jesus, the beast, that is the empire, with all its affiliates, especially Zionist Israel and all those that have been part of it, will be thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20).
From here on, we offer arguments for the definition of the Endtime as the last 3.5 years before the return of Jesus instead of the 7 years that is generally believed to be the duration of the Endtime. These arguments are also presented on the page 'Endtime Definition'. This page will end with arguments why we believe the rapture of the church will take place shortly before the 3.5 year Endtime and not before the last 7 years or exactly at the midst of the last 7 years. These arguments are also presenten on the page 'Endtime Visions'.
The Endtime
Many charts of the Endtime have been made, based on assumptions about Endtime periods that are indicated in Bible prophecy. The periods, indicated by bible prophecy are the following:
(1) The 70th and last week of Daniel's prophecy of 70 'weeks', which consists of 7 years (Daniel 9:27). The midpoint of this 'week' is of great significance.
(2) The great tribulation, starting with the 'abomination of desolation', the worship of an idol in 'the holy place', leading for enormous devastation and ultimately: God's wrath (Mathew 24:15-21). The 'abomination' takes place at the midpoint of Daniel's last week, 3.5 years before the end of it.
(3) The hour of temptation, that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth (Revelation 3:10).
Some add to these periods terms like 'the day of the Lord' (2 Peter 3:8) and 'the coming (Parousia = presence) of the Lord'. But these terms probably concern the total period during which the interactions of the Creator with his creation will be experienced by every creature, starting with the rapture of the church, ending with the dead, standing before the great white throne, at the end of the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. For the Lord 'a day is as thousand years'. Therefore we leave out this term.
The manner with which the end of (1), the 70th week of Daniel, is marked (Daniel 9:24), leaves room for no other explanation than that the 7-year period will end with the second coming of Jesus.
From Daniel 9:27, it is clear that period (2), the great tribulation, will start halfway the 70th week of Daniel. This 7-year period will start with the 'confirming' or 'strengthening' of a covenant with / for / to many. At the midpoint of the 7-years period, 'the offering' will be stopped and 'an abomination' will be set up, which will be the cause of devastation - which is seen in the 3.5 years of great tribulation, that directly follows. The second half of 'the week', the 7-year period, will be filled with death and destruction. That would be 3.5 years before the second coming of Jesus. Therefore the great tribulation covers the last half of Daniel's 70th week, 3.5 years, ending with the return of Jesus. This is what Jesus Himself tells us in Mathew 24:29, 30. His coming in power and great glory will occur shortly 'after the tribulation'. Daniel refers to these 3.5 years as 'time, times and half a time' (Daniel 7:25, 12:7) and as 1,290 and 1,335 days (Daniel 12:11,12). The book of Revelation also mentions these 3.5 years, as 'time, times and half a time' (Revelation 12:14), as 1260 days (Revelation 11:3, 12:6) and as 42 months (Revelation 11:2, 13:5).
We assume that all of these time spans refer to one and the same period, 'the great tribulation'. However, there could be small differences because they concern 3 different events:
(1) The flight and refuge of the 'the woman', the holy people. (Rev.12:6, 14)
(2) The absolute reign of the beast and his war against the saints (Rev. 11:2, 13:5, Dan.7:25, 12:7)
(3) The testimony of the two witnesses (Rev.11:3).
So (2) the great tribulation is equal to (1) the last half of Daniel's 70th week. The third indicated time period (3) the hour of temptation, is more difficult to interpret. It is not completely clear what is meant in Revelation 3:10 with 'the hour of temptation' from which the Lord would keep the faithful in his church. When searching the Greek word for 'temptation', it is never again used in Revelation and in the NT mostly applies to Christians. But in Revelation 3:10 the special hour of temptation does not concern the faithful but 'those that dwell upon the earth', which is humanity as a whole. Based on the content of Revelation, we consider 'the hour of temptation' to be synonym to the great tribulation, the last 3.5 years before Jesus' second coming. For this, we offer the following arguments:
(1) Looking at the book of Revelation, the whole of humanity will only be subjected to the execution of the demonic power of the beast for 42 months, which is again the last 3.5 years (Rev.13:5-7)
(2) The word 'hour' in a similar meaning as in Rev.3:10 is seen in Rev.17:12 - 'And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast'. This seems to correspond to that same period of 'execution of power' by the beast of 3.5 years.
(3) The temptation of that last evil 'hour of temptation' will start at the second seal, bringing the red horse of a third world war. We argue that the trigger to this worldwide devastation will be 'the abomination of desolation', which will happen at the midpoint of Daniel's 70th week. That is 3.5 years before the return of Jesus. This would mean that 'the hour of temptation' is equal to the 3.5 years of great tribulation. This can also be seen in the prophetic discourse of the Lord in Mathew 24, as we show in Endtime Discourse.
The Rapture - Problems of the mid-trib position
Revelation 2 and 3 give a bird eye view of church history, while Revelation 4:1 mirrors the rapture with the transfer of John to heaven, where we see the church represented in 24 elders. But where do we see the start of the great tribulation? Where do we see war break out in the Middle East (Daniel 11:39-45), followed by nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom (Mathew 24:7)? That is at the second seal, when the rider of the red horse comes into action, 'taking away peace from the earth'. Between the rapture of the church and that midpoint of the week - the abomination causing desolation (Daniel 12:11), at least 3 things must happen:
(1) The raptured believers will stand before the judgment seat of Christ (2 Cor.5:10),
(2) The Lamb must take the scroll from the right hand of Him that sitteth on the throne while being worshiped by the host of heaven (Rev.5:7-12), which will resonnate throughout all of creation in the ages to come Rev.5:13)
(3) The first seal has to be opened for the white horse to come into action. That white horse is the start toward ultimate victory of God's persecuted people, the Palestinians. They will have to be replaced to safety (Hosea 2:14, 15, Zechariah 14:3-6, Revelation 12:14-16). They will have to repent and learn to know the Lord the way He wants to be known (Hosea 2:16,17, Zechariah 12:10, Zechariah 13:8,9).
A second reason for the necessity of a timelapse between the rapture of the church and the start of the great tribulation is the adaptation of the forces of empire. However swift worldly powers will react to the spiritual vacuum, left by the rapture and the 'being taken away' of the Holy Spirit (2 Thess.2:6,7), they will need some time to plan and coordinate their actions in order to take full control over earthly affairs. Therefore some time has to elapse between the rapture of the church and the start of the 42 months of action by the beast out of the sea, seen in the red horse and the bringing of world war III.
The Rapture - Problems of the pre-trib position
The pretrib position, a rapture before the start of the 7 years of tribulation for the true Jewish people has also its shortcomings.
(1) The 7 year tribulation does not concern the complete earth but only 'Jacob'. It is called 'the time of Jacob's trouble' (Jeremiah 30:7). Jesus did not promise to save his church from the time of Jacob's trouble. He promised to keep her from 'the hour of temptation that would come upon the whole earth' and that does not start before the midst of the last 7 years. Only then does the dragon start to 'make war with the remnant of her seed', which is all over the world, the Palestinians in exile and those standing with them. Only then will 'nation rise agains nation and kingdom against kingdom' (Mathew 24:15). Only then will the rider of the red horse 'take away peace from the earth that they would kill one another'.
(2) Besides the red horse, there is no other point in the book of Revelation at which a total worldwide war breaks out. We once held the view that the locusts of the fifth trumpet would be at the midst of the week. That however is not the start of a war. It is the release of demonic spirits that combine with already available technology to sudue the earth to the beast system. That is what will come once the war will have been decided in favor of the US, so that it can roll-out the beast system. Moreover, the time that will be covered by the trumpets 5 and 6 is 5 months plus 13 months, a total of 18 months. Directly after the sixth trumpet the strong angel descends from heaven, announcing the 7th trumpet with the 7 vials that would end the power of the empire. All of this means that the Apocalyptic horsemen will not fill the first half of the 7 years of Daniel's 70th week. They will start around the midst of the week. A rapture before the last 7 years of history would mean that it would take place almost 3.5 years before any prophetic Endtime fulfillment. It is not conceivable that 3.5 years will pass without any further significant events
(3) The rapture of the church is also the taking away of 'the restrainer', the Holy Spirit, that holds off the total outbreak of lawlessness in the actions of 'the lawless one', that 'will set himself in the temple of God, proclaiming to be God' (2 Thessalonians 2:3-7). The actions of antichrist at the midst of the week presuppose the departure of God's holy Spirit from earth in the rapture. But that will happen only shortly before the son of perdition will be revealed, not 3.5 years before - while the devil knows he has little time.
(4) The Lord spoke of the 'shortening of those days' while speaking of the 'great tribulation'. with a word that also means 'to mutilate'. This 'mutilation' could come from the little time that will be given to the enemy to build his empire, i.e. the shortening of the first 3.5 of 7 years by leaving the church on earth. We see this also in the panic of the dragon in Revelation 12:12 - 'He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short'.
(5) The Lord promised 'to come with haste'. This coming will start with the rapture of the church and the opening of the seals. That also seems to indicate a shortening of that last period of 7 years by a rapture taking place toward the midst of those 7 years.
(6) There is no indication of the length of the first half of Daniel's last week. The length of the second half is clearly indicated, 7 times in total, 2 times in the book of Daniel and 5 times in the book of Revelation. Therefore, the first half of the last 7 years is not an established biblical period, like the second half. Moreover, the first half of Daniel's last week has no noticeable starting point (only: 'strengthening of an already existing covenant) like the second half has (the abomination of desolation). And lastly, the first half of Daniel's week has no specific name in bible prophecy, like the second half has (great tribulation)
Conclusion - between pre- and mid-trib
Based on these shortcomings of both the pretrib and the midtrib position, we come to the following conclusion. (1) We define the tribulation no longer as the 7-year period of the 70th week of Daniel. We define the tribulation as identical to 'the great tribulation' or 'the hour of temptation', the last half 3.5 years of Daniel's 70th week. (2) The church will leave the earth a short time before the start of these last 3.5 years of tribulation. In that sense we still hold on to a pretrib view, while we have changed the definition of 'trib'. (3) Would we hold on to the complete 70th week of Daniel as being the tribulation, then our vision is somewhere between the pretrib and the midtrib positions, but closer to the midtrib.
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. (2 Peter 3:8)
