Revelation 6

Horsemen of the Apocalypse

A horse and its rider have traditionally been a symbol of military power. Think of Pharaoh who came after Israel with horses, horsemen, and chariots to bring them back into bondage and enslavement. After God's judgment upon the, the people sang: "I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea." (Ex.15:1) Solomon wrote: Proverbs 21:31, “A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord.” Pharaoh learned this on that day.

The horses in Revelation are not confined to the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. We also see appearances of horses in the locusts of the fifth seal: 'And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle...and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle' (Rev.9:7,9). And the worldwide devastating armies of the sixth seal are also depicted as horses: 'And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.' (Rev.9:16,17)

This means that the “horsemen of the apocalypse” of Revelation 6 also speak of military power. Behind the events of the first four seals are military orders. The military might behind the white horse of seal 1 will be empowered by the Lord in order to gain total victory in the end. Behind the battle horses of seals 2-3 we see a highly disciplined stronghold of earthly rulers, who secretly constitute the enemies of the Lamb because they see the earth as their rightful possession, which the Lamb wants to take from them. And so they do everything in their power to thwart the Lamb’s plans. At first, they seem to succeed. But they are weakened by Him in the judgments from heaven and finally eliminated forever by His coming in glory.

But however strong this secret military order is, it is subject to heaven's timeline. Only when the Lamb opens the seals can they launch their plans, which they have been working on for centuries, at full speed. Then, it is only one of the four animals that gives the signal for their activities—which are pure hostility against God and man. Everything indicates that the direction of all events lies in heaven and not with rulers on earth. "Come and see," it sounds like a clap of thunder. It is with the voice of God Himself that it is spoken, for it is the voice of God that sounds like thunder. It is from the throne that thunders issue.

The "come" is addressed to the horse in question, the earthly power that is given the opportunity to exert its influence. But at least as important is the "behold," the beholding of what is happening through the inhabitants of heaven. The four living creatures are full of eyes, crying out "holy, holy, holy." They continue to do so in chapters 6 through 19, except for a very brief period in chapter 8, which we will discuss later. But the four living creatures are happy to have their eyes complemented by those of all the inhabitants of heaven, including John's. They are allowed to see what is happening on earth because, along with the four living creatures, they can conclude that everything is in complete harmony with all of God's attributes of holiness. Later, this is also expressed by the inhabitants of heaven.

Verses 1, 2

And behold, a white horse

Revelation 6:1 "And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice as of thunder, 'Come and see!' And I saw, and behold, a white horse! And he who sat on him had a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering, and to conquer."

At the opening of the first seal, one of the living creatures says 'come and see'. According to signs in the stars, this seems to be the one that appeared as a Lion. Then John sees a white horse. White is the color of purity and cleanliness. And where the book of Revelation shows the things in their true colors, their real character, we have to conclude that this white horse is a representation of Christ Himself. Many interpreters of Revelation however hold the white horse for the deception by antichrist. And indeed, its seems strange that Jesus would appear on the earthly scene, while He is the Lamb in heaven, opening the seals. But there is no limit to the reach of Jesus, even while opening seals. Directly after the Resurrection Jesus appeared within a very short timeframe to different people that were in very different locations. After his glorification, He intercedes for millions of Christians that need his guidance and protection in their daily lives. After the rapture of the church, the seven Spirits of God are sent throughout the world, as the horns and the eyes of the Lamb. Therefore the white horse could very well represent Christ, in support of his people that are entrenched in a fight to death with the empire.

There are at least 7 reasons for seeing  the white horse of the first seal as the first stage of Christ's victory, which will be finished at his return on a white horse in Revelation 19, and why it is absolutely no deception by antichrist powers.

1. Revelation is the all revealing book in which nothing remains hidden and everything is shown in its ‘true colors’. Why would this book present the worst of deceptions since the beginning of the world as ‘a white horse’, that will be given a crown? If this were 'the devil posing as an angel of light', this would have been mentioned by John and would not have been left to the interpretation of the reader. The book is called 'Revelation of Jesus Christ' and everything is shown with its true nature.

2. Wholesale deception does not start during the last few years before Jesus’ second coming. Deception is a characteristic of the church age but especially of the last phase of it, Laodicea. During the previous phase of Philadelphia, which was the church that absorbed all of scripture, the greatest deception of all time sprung up. Philadelphia is warned for it. Jesus calls it ‘the synagogue of satan’ consisting of self proclaimed Jews, which are lying (Rev.3:9). This synagogue of satan is the masonic-zionist enterprise, embodied in ‘the United States of America’, the last tool of satan with which he seeks worldwide domination, the seventh and last head of the beast (Revelation 12-13-17). The deception of the masons consists of ‘evolution’, mankind making progress through science and technology, ‘democracy’, the lie that citizens determine governmental decisions and ‘capitalism’, the lie that free markets tend to an optimal distribution of wealth. With these three lies humanity is led by the nose and mankind will end up in the prison of an utterly evil technocratic tyranny. We live in the years that we see the walls of the digital prison arising round about us. But this worldwide deception of mankind is not achieved within a few years. It took at least a few centuries. The white horse however, appears a few years before Jesus' return. Therefore the white horse has nothing to do with ‘deception’.

3. The white horse, with which the Endtime will start is anything but deception. What happens at the approaching of Jesus’ return is the opposite of deception. The deceivers throw off their masks and are seen by large groups of people for who the are. The Endtime is characterized by the sentence in Revelation 22:11: ‘Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.’ The ‘grey’ will disappear and everything will be either white...or totally black. So the white horse is a power for good and truth, not for evil and deception.

4. It is Jesus, the Lamb of God, opening the 7 seals of a scroll. And the scroll testifies of Him being given all power in heaven and on earth (Mathew 28:18), the property rights of creation. With the opening of seals He starts laying his hand on his heritage. Would this start with something that goes against the truth of God and his word? No, we would expect it to start with truth and justice and the first signs of total redemption. But this first act of Him, breaking the seals, demanding his rights as Son of the most High and as Redeemer, is met with opposition and resistance, which we see in the next 4 seals. The seals 2 – 5 testify of Antichrist powers. These Antichrist powers only get room to act once Jesus opens the next seals, which shows us that even the enemy can do nothing without Him. But the enemy has to be exposed. As Jesus said: ‘Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!’  (Mathew 18:7). It is strange that those interpreting the white horse as Antichrist, mostly assume that the horses 2-4 are judgments by God. The opposite is the case. The white horse consists of acts of God and his angels while the horses 2-4 concern acts of Antichrist.

5. The Endtime ends with the coming of a white horse, being Jesus destroying all enemies of God and man and erecting his millennial kingdom. So why would the white horse at the start of the Endtime be someone else? Isn’t Jesus the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega? The difference between the first and the last white horse is that the first is working from a distance, using a bow, while the last will enter the earthly scene, using a sword.

6. Of the white horse’s rider is said that he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. The way this is stated gives the impression that there is no end to the victory of the white horse. This does not apply to the deception and rule of the Antichrist. Of the beast out of the sea is said; ‘The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months’ (Rev.13:5). After this short period, Jesus will end the rule of the beast by destroying it. The riding out as a conqueror, bent on conquest - without end, does not apply to the short-lived victory of Antichrist.

7. Revelation is rooted in the old testament. Therefore we have to look at the meanings of ‘white horse’, ‘bow’ and ‘crown’ in old testament prophecies. We find this combination of items especially in chapters 6, 9 and 10 of the book of Zechariah, which we shall dive into next. But we can already state here and now that all of these passages refer to the acts of God on and in his holy people and that they have nothing to do with deception or workings of the Antichrist.

Whereas the descriptions of the horses under seals 2-4, are quite clear the meaning of the white horse is difficult to grasp. What is the meaning of the white color, the bow, the crown and the victory of the first horse? To understand the meaning, one has to dive into the old testament, which is the ground in which the book of Revelation is rooted. This brings us to the book of Zechariah, chapters 6, 9 and 10.

Horses: Zech. 6:2-8
Of the red, black, white and dappled horses and their chariots is said:
‘These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world’

The spirits of heavens are probably angelic forces:
‘He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire’ (Hebr.1:7)

Crown: Zech. 6:11,12
‘Take the silver and gold and make a crown, and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua son of Jozadak. Tell him this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the Lord’

Bow (1): Zech 9:13, 14
‘I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword. Then the Lord will appear over them;
his arrow will flash like lightning.’

Bow (2): Zech. 10:4
‘From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler.’

The book of Zechariah is mostly about the future restoration of God’s holy people, the Israelis. In the Endtime God will turn his attention to his earthly people of old, the people of Israel, after his heavenly people in the church will have left the earth in the rapture. This is foretold on many pages in the Bible:

‘Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: ‘After this I will return
And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up…’ (Acts 15:14-16)

‘... I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.’ (Romans 9:25-27)

But for the people of Israel, the Endtime will be a very troublesome time. It will be fiercely attacked by the world empire. Combining the items from the book of Zechariah, the horse, the bow, the crown, we have to conclude that the white horse of the first seal is God’s provision for his people in distress. Indeed, angelic forces will act on behalf of God’s people, as the book of Daniel also testifies:

‘And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.’ (Daniel 12:1)

This holy people will be under a heavy attack, especially in the last horrific phase of the Endtime:

‘The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.’ (Daniel 7:25)

‘And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all peoples, and tongues, and nations.’ (Revelation 13:7)

These prophecies concern one and the same power: the fourth empire in its last stage, that fills the whole earth. This can be only one nation: the United States of America. We will show this to be the case when explaining Revelation 13.

In Revelation 12, we see the spiritual background of the 2,600 year old world empire and its attacks on the holy people of God. The attacks are coordinated by ‘satan and the devil, the old serpent’, seen as a great red dragon, counting 7 heads, the same number of heads as the world empire in Revelation 13:1. On the attack of the dragon, we read the following:

‘And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child’ (Revelation 12:13)

The woman which brought forth the man Child (Christ) can only be the people of Israel. There are some reasons to assume that the fall of the dragon on earth happens some time before the start of the 3.5 years of great tribulation. We will discuss these reasons when reaching Revelation 12. In that case, the people of God would enter the Endtime while being under attack and persecution. God however, will come to their defense and at the end of the oppression, God will strengthen his holy people to the extent that they will fight and overcome their oppressors. That is the meaning of ‘the bow’ in our verse. They will eventually be the victorious ones and rule with Christ in his millennial kingdom (the crown). Together with Christ they will build the temple, the house of the Father, at the start of the kingdom of heaven, in order to prepare a 1000 years of hallowing of the name of the Father. In Zechariah 6, the crown is seen in relation to the temple that will be built by Messiah.

If the first animal calling 'come and see' is indeed a Lion, this would correspond to 'the Lion of Judah', the root of David, the origin of God's people coming to their rescue. This would also indicate that the white horse stands for the interference of the Lord on behalf of the true descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

But where is God’s holy people? In this age of deception, it is difficult to discern the true holy people of God. If the Endtime is characterized with God’s holy people under attack and if we are very near to the Endtime, then the people of God cannot be the ones who at the moment are pulling the strings in Jerusalem. The ‘Jews’ that are running this Zionist state arose in the church phase of Philadelphia and Christ named them liars and a synagogue of satan. And we can see why. Every tree is known by its own fruit (Luke 6:44). And the fruit of those pretending to be present day Israel is bloodshed and distress (Is.5:7).

The present zionist state of Israel is as opposed to Christ and his word as anyone can be, daily committing the worst of crimes against God’s holy law in their vigorous attack on the Palestinian people. The word ‘genocide’ is a euphemism for the satanic behavior of the most militarized people on earth. Many so called Jews are from European descent and originate in what once was Turkey, part of the Greek empire. That could be the reason why the prophetic word in Zechariah says: ‘I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword’ (Zech 9:13). The sons of Zion being the Palestinians and the sons of Greece being the ‘Zionists’ in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

If the white horse represents God’s work with his holy people, the true Israelis, then what is the first act to be seen? It must be an act of redemption leading up to victory. We see such an act in Revelation 12, at the start of ‘the hour of temptation’, where the dragon, the power behind the world empire, is persecuting the woman, the people that brought forth the Messiah. She is supernaturally rescued by ‘two wings of the great eagle’ and brought to a safe place where ‘she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent’. (Revelation 12:14). Combining Revelation 12:14 with Daniel 12:1, these two wings could very well be two legions of angels, under the command of Michael, coming to the rescue of the people that will be on the brink of total extinction.

So, again, which people could within a short time be on the brink of total annihilation? Not the citizens of the state of Israel, for they are being cared for and shielded by an enormous army that receives billions from the world empire, together with all military, diplomatic and judicial support. It is the Palestinian people that is led to the slaughter by the cooperation of the world empire with this state of Israel. As is said in Isaiah 28:14, 15

‘Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement...’

What better words are there for the atrocities done to the Palestinians by the USA and ‘Israel’ than ‘a covenant with death and hell’? So, not those ruling 'this people' in Jerusalem but those being attacked by the world elite must be the true people of God, the ones from whom Messiah came.

In conclusion: in our estimation the white horse is the rescue and eventual victory of the Palestinian people, the true people of Israel, over their oppressors, the USA-world empire and fake Israel, through supernatural intervention from above.

Verse 3,4

A fiery red horse

'And when the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come and see!” And another horse, fiery red, came out; and to him who sat on it was given power to take peace from the earth and to cause them to slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.'

The first living creature, calling forth the white horse, spoke with the sound of thunder. This is not said of the other three living creatures. This might point to the supernatural quality that will be at work there - Jesus coming to the rescue of his people. Once supernatural actions will take place, the powers of this world will identify this as interference from above in their affairs and they will release all their powers in order to prevent further impediments on their earthly domain. For whereas the first horsemen represents a power from above, the horsemen 2, 3 and 4 represent evil powers of old, that will try to withhold the Lamb from acquiring his rightful inheritance. The first thing that world rulers will do to solidify power is sowing chaos and waging war. Chaos and wars is are tools to submit citizens into obedience through psychological as well as judicial effects (rallying around the flag, martial law). Hence: ‘Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other’.

The second living creature, which calls forth the second horse, was a calf, a bull. This seems to have nothing to do with the peace being taken from the earth and the making of them slaughtering each other. However, the bull is a sacrificial animal, and the Greek word used here for slaughter can mean "to sacrifice." The word "sphazō" appears only ten times in the New Testament, and only in the writings of John: (1) Cain killing his brother, (2) The Lamb on the throne, (3) The witnesses of God in the last half week of years, and (4) the Beast from the Sea (deadly wound by the sword). And then, of course, here. It therefore appears to be the global appearance of  struggles on different levels of society: small scale fights, like that between the first two brothers and large conflicts between nations. As Jesus has prophesied: 'Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.' (Mathew 24:7) A civil war next to nuclear exchanges. People are at each other's throats and nations try to conquer each other. The 'wound of the beast from the sea (4), we indeed perceive to be the civil war that raged for four years in the USA and almost cut the emerging empire in two.

The ox is also the animal that "draws furrows in the earth." This is from God's throne to make the earth fertile, receptive to the seed, so that it can germinate: to make people receptive to the Word of God. From the devil's perspective, it's only about the furrow itself, the division, the separation, the discord. "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom." This is a struggle along several different lines of conflict that have become increasingly clear over the centuries, and of which more and more are constantly being added: left vs. right, progressive vs. conservative, white vs. black, proponents or opponents of alternative forms of sex, climate measures, lock-downs, vaccinations, and so on. Soon, there may be added:...the intergalactic agreements, which are already being discussed in connection with "extraterrestrial life forms," which is nothing but yet another monstrously large deception.

That the media can lie through their teeth has been abundantly clear for about a hundred years. But the confusion circulating in the media since the year 2000 is so profound that people are completely lost and can easily be pitted against each other. This is what happens with the entrance of the rider on the red horse. The contradictions are deeply rooted, and all it takes is one big dispute for the flames to flare up. A repulsive, utter chaos ensues, a war of all against all, where no one can keep a cool head. This situation in the world has been deliberately created by the "world rulers of darkness," who guide and direct the earthly rulers. But at the same time, God uses these events to bring people to repentance; the furrows in the earth are dividing lines, but they also give germination power to the seed that was once sown in hearts. People in sore need can only look in one direction: up.

The section about the second apocalyptic horse begins and ends strangely. At the beginning, it doesn't say, as with the other three horses, "And I saw, and behold." Instead, it says all at once: "And another horse, fiery red, went out..." As soon as John looks up, the action begins. The rider on the horse is in a hurry to get the fight started.

The passage ends with: "A great sword was given to him." This could refer to the division being sown. In that case, it appears twice. The rider on the red horse was given the power to take peace from the earth, and the same is repeated at the end with "a great sword was given to him." This is the means by which peace is taken from the earth. It is something that sows enormous discord in society. In this sense, Jesus once referred to "a sword": Matthew 10:34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's enemies will be those of his household. That too is a division in society, the only one that truly matters. All other divisions serve only the purpose of God's adversary. The opposition between believers and unbelievers also leads to "slaughter," and we see the sad consequences of this with the opening of the fifth seal.

The mention of the sword comes afterward. It is not like the other horsemen of the apocalypse, where the rider already has (1) a bow, then receives a crown, and only then goes out, conquering and to conquer, or (2) a pair of scales in his hand, and only then are the excessive prices mentioned, or (3) the kingdom of death that follows, where it is literally said that power is received to kill with the sword, etc. In the second horseman, the sword is only mentioned at the very end. The large sword is not given in the hands of people that kill. It is given in the hands of the rider of the red horse that forces people to kill. Since it concerns earthly powers, the most likely interpretation would be the sword with which chaos can be contained. It would then be the sword of the government, which does not bear the sword in vain. As Jesus said to Peter: Matthew 26:52, "...all who take up the sword will perish by the sword." And as Revelation itself states: "Revelation 13:10, If anyone kills with the sword, he must be killed by the sword."

God has instituted authority in order for good to be rewarded and for bad to be punished, an instrument to curb chaos, unrest, and disorder. But here in Revelation 6, we are at the start of the Endtime. The godforsaken governments of the world have since long started to use this God-given tool of authority to pursue their own agendas, allowing as much bloodshed as possible. It is the old concept of "divide and conquer", that prevails here worldwide. The governments of the world and their mouthpieces in the media are intentionally setting people up against each other in order to use the ensuing chaos to argue for more control - hence: 'him who sat on it was given power to take peace' and 'him was given a great sword'. Again, war is a pretext for rulers to extend their powers and to exert unprecedented control over their subjects, from the suppressing of free speech to the deportation and imprisonment of dissidents and the mandatory service for citizens as cannon-fodder.

A final possible meaning for "a great sword," given to the rider on the red horse, is an instrument with which the government kills people, a guillotine. The "slaughtering" that people do is denouncing and betraying each other. Every group in society that is not tolerated by the government is, just like the Jews in World War II, betrayed, handed over, and slaughtered by the government with the "great sword." Such things have been in preparation in the US for decades. The execution can only begin with the breaking of the second seal.

But who is this rider of the red horse? Is it just some unknown war mongering politician? Or is it a power that we are to discern, now that the end time is so very near? As already noted, the apocalyptic horsemen are not judgments from heaven but represent the opportunity given to earthly powers to demonstrate their worth in their rebellion against God and the Lamb, and thus also against humanity. Therefore, the events of Revelation 6 are entirely in line with a historical development that runs from the Tower of Babel and Babylon, through the world empires and the Roman Empire, through the secret societies of Europe, to the world powers of the end times – the wealthy banking families, royal houses. And which of the present day powers in the world has build up the largest monetary, diplomatic, political and military might? Which entity can be considered to be the final heir of the Roman empire? There is only one institution with worldwide authority and influence: the USA. As we shall show in the explanation of Daniel 7, Revelation 13, 17 and 18, the USA conforms to all characteristics that are given in those chapters about the great Endtime power, that will be judged by God.

And in what way will the USA succeed in causing worldwide chaos and war? There is one action indicated in the book of Daniel that will trigger the great killing. It is called 'the abomination of desolation', an evil act of idolatry that will be considered so monstrously provocative, that is will ignite furious reactions worldwide. This action will take place by 'a prince' of whom the people once destroyed the Jewish temple, i.e. a US-president if the US is indeed the final heir of Rome. This action will take place at the midpoint of the 7-year period that ends with the return of Jesus Christ, a 7-year period in which an already existing covenant would be made 'heavy' for 'many'. There exists a covenant, called the Balfour Declaration,  which is already in place for more than a century, which has played the holy land - which is central in the prophecies of Daniel - into the hands of those that confiscated it on behalf of the empire and chased hundreds of thousands that have lived there for thousands of years from their land into refugee camps. This happened at the founding of the state of Israel in 1948 and at the 6-day war in 1967 - the state of Israel having full backing of the US-empire. Since the start of the Netanyahu government on December 29, 2022, we have seen the final attack on the original people of the land. A genocide against them is being perpetrated while they are still remaining in their refugee camps. The 'final solution' is that they are either completely expelled or killed and that the full territory of the holy land comes under control of the empire, through its proxy, Israel.

If the start of the Netanyahu government on December 29, 2022 is indeed the start of the last 7 years before Christ's return, then the outburst of worldwide chaos by the red horse can be expected in June 2026. Indeed, signs in the stars on June 9, 2026, point exactly to events of the red horse of the second seal. There we see (1) Venus and Jupiter in conjunction above 'the red horse', 'Monoceros', with a dog as its rider, (2) Mars at the feet of Aries, the Lamb and (3) Comet 10P/Temple entering 'Capricorn', symbol of man's religious sacrificial system. What then would the 'abomination of desolation' be? We think the US-president will instigate worldwide wars with his proclamation to be God, within the precincts of the Haram Al Sharif, probably the Al Aqsa Mosque, to enrage the total Middle East. This is what is prophesied in Daniel 11. A ruler in Israel would 'honor the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not' and would do so 'in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory'. 

Verses 5, 6

And behold, a black horse

“And when the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, ‘Come and see!’ And I saw, and behold, a black horse! And he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say, “A ration of wheat for a denarius, and three rations of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”

The four horsemen of the apocalypse represent worldly powers, who, through the breaking of the seals by the Lamb, are given free rein from the throne of God for their destructive activities. Given the image of a horse and rider, they represent militarily organized worldly powers. These are not governments of countries or nations, because they lack military rule and, moreover, possess little power. Ministers and kings worldwide absolutely do not rule by the grace of God or the people. God is completely ignored, and the people have no influence whatsoever and are constantly being misled by lies in the media, causing them to believe, think, vote, and decide what the world rulers of darkness want.

The real rulers, to whom governments listen, are world rulers who operate in darkness, in secret, and they determine the course of events in the world. They are the horsemen of the apocalypse. The Bible, unlike humans, never looks at the outward appearance of power. The Bible focuses on the real rulers "behind the throne." These are names unknown to anyone and organizations whose names almost never appear in the media. Figures like George Soros, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and even the Rockefellers are nothing more than poster children for real power.

Much occult power is organized in secret societies. Those who are not members of these societies will never be appointed to many positions in society. These societies are structured according to a pyramid structure, with ranks and positions, where the lower ranks have much less information than the upper ranks. For example, the Freemasons have 33 degrees, with the highest degrees reserved for the Knights of Malta, which also includes members of the Royal House of Orange. At the bottom, members have only small bits of information on a need-to-know basis. The higher up in the organizational structure, the broader the overview. Only those at the very top know the full picture.

Besides the secret societies, there are also secret consultation clubs. Although their existence was denied for decades, the media occasionally releases information about the Bilderberg Club, which was founded in collaboration with Prince Bernhard. Since 2020, the role of this consultation club seems to have been taken over by the World Economic Forum, which, during the artificially created Covid pandemic, saw a "small window of opportunity"—a "short-lived window"—to drastically reorganize the world's structures. They called this "the great reset" or, based on the enormous chaos caused by the crisis, "build back better."

The dark horse is the horse of economic power. It is a global power that bankers have built up behind the scenes over hundreds of years. Through investment companies like Blackrock (black, like the horse) and Vanguard (vanguard, riders of the cavalry are often found in the vanguard), banks have their tentacles deep in all markets. This allows them to regulate the production of all goods and services as they see fit. The world has turned into one big oligopoly of a few wealthy families who call the shots among themselves. Because governments worldwide bow like jackknives to these financial powerhouses, they can throttle the production of all types of food worldwide and thus drive up prices to enormous heights. This is what will happen under the regime of the black horse. It has nothing to do with drought or crop failures. During the phase of the apocalyptic horsemen, there is no interference from God's throne with earth's conditions whatsoever, except for the eternal faithfulness of the rainbow, letting the sun shine and rain on the good and the evil. It is the powers of darkness, secret organizations, monopolists, who are creating artificial scarcities in food, as has been happening for centuries in the diamond industry. It will be a worldwide Gaza - an artificially created famine, through the destruction of supply lines under the pretense of war.

A first step in this direction seems to be underway. The World Economic Forum's "great reset" has already been mentioned above. Pawnbroker Bill Gates has already bought up vast amounts of farmland in the US. Many farmers in the US have been ordered for months to destroy their food and even to spill oil, while oil prices are skyrocketing. Transporter strikes are being announced everywhere, jeopardizing global logistics. And because of the created Covid crisis (which had never anything to do with health, but only with power), many small and medium sized companies have been severely weakened, while the market positions of companies like Amazon have been strengthened. The world, just like after any crisis or war, has moved significantly toward a monopoly.

The black horse is characterized by a missing word that is present in the other three horses. The missing word is the word "given." Something is "given" to each of the riders on the other horses. The rider on the white horse was given a crown. The rider on the red horse was given the power to take peace from the earth and was given a great sword. The rider on the pale green horse was given power over a quarter of the earth. These kinds of remarks are absent from the black horse. The rider on the black horse held a pair of scales. This means that this rider already has total control over the economic power of the world prior to the breaking of the seals and that nothing more needs to be given to him. This does not mean that this power is not "given." All power descends from above. Only, this has already happened before, in the centuries preceding the final appearance of the apocalyptic horsemen.

The third living creature, with its "Come and see!", refers to the activities of the black horse, which are taking on dramatic proportions. The third living creature had "the face of a man." This refers to the typically human activity of managing earthly resources. Animals are capable of enticing and seducing (white horse), of waging war (red horse), and of killing each other (pale green horse), but the management of goods is a typically human activity. Here, too, the living creature that summons the horse and its rider corresponds to the type of power that is being exercised.

By restricting food production in the world, those who wield this power can amass even more power. People starving to death are willing to give up everything. This is evident in the story of Joseph, where the people sell first their livestock, then their land, and finally themselves to Pharaoh in exchange for food. However, the world's rulers of darkness cannot continue their endless escalation of food prices. From the throne of God, however, a limit is set: "And I heard a voice in the midst of four living creatures saying, 'A ration of wheat for a denarius, and three rations of barley for a denarius; And do not harm the oil and the wine.'

In Biblical times, a denarius was the amount a person earned for a day's work, and a ration represents the daily needs of one person. In the Western Europe, the average income is €35,000 per year, and the number of working days is 45 x 5 = 225 per year. This equates to a wage of €155 per day. That would be the price of a day's bread for one person. If one had to settle for much lower quality (barley instead of wheat), three people could survive on €155 worth of food per day. If we take the global median income of approximately €8,273 (0.85 x $9,733), that would amount to around €37 for a day's bread for one person. Slightly lower, but still inflation of over 1000%. Due to the scarcity, people become slaves to those in power and are forced to work until they collapse. The curse of Genesis 3 is again fulfilled: “In the sweat of your face shall you eat your bread.”

The word for the “scales,” which are in the hand of the rider on the black horse, is translated elsewhere in the New Testament as “yoke,” a burden in the form of a task that must be accomplished. A very heavy yoke is imposed on the world’s population to work incredibly hard for their daily bread. But thanks to the voice in the midst of the four living creatures, people will still be able to keep their heads above water. That voice from the midst of the throne can only be the voice of the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, among the four living creatures. The Lamb who Himself said: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." The yoke of the Lamb is a very different yoke than the 'yoke of the scales' of the black horse. Therefore, the Lamb calls a halt to the unbridled display of power by the rider on the black horse.

Based on the voice from among the four living creatures, what may not be touched are the oil and the wine. These can be seen as ‘luxury’ products. People who have something ‘left over’ can still enjoy something despite all the adversity from the apocalyptic horsemen. They owe this to the limits set by heaven during this extremely difficult time for the world’s population. It is heaven continually ‘intervening’ for people, just as it will do with the length of the tribulation period: ‘Unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake they will be cut short.' The battle waged from heaven is against the rulers, the servants of Satan, those who have secretly built up their power for centuries to wage war against the Lamb. The battle is against the horsemen of the apocalypse, who are given a short time to reveal their true character—a completely depraved character, which shows that the judgments later in the book are all justice and righteousness. The battle from heaven is not against ordinary people. The judgments yet to come are to sweep away the rulers and bring people to repentance, so that they may receive eternal life.

Verses 7,8

And behold, a pale horse

"And when the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, 'Come and see!' And I looked, and behold, a pale horse, and he who sat on him had the name Death, and Hades followed him; And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Before delving deeper into the meaning of the fourth horse of Revelation 6, it's important to remember the general significance of these horses. They aren't "events" that simply fall out of the sky: war – famine – all sorts of causes for mass death. Many history books treat history this way: as a series of dates followed by events: 1898 – Spanish war. That's why most people remember nothing of history, because the underlying structure is lacking. And that's why people learn nothing from history: "History teaches us that people learn nothing from history." As a result, people keep repeating the same mistakes. This is because meta-history, the history behind history, the history of the powers behind the scenes, is hardly ever told. If people were aware of these powers, they wouldn't be so easily manipulated by them. If people were aware of the devil's existence, he would have a much harder time deceiving humanity, as a well-known Christian singer, Keith Green, once sung, referring to the thoughts of the devil: "It's getting easy now, because no one believes in me anymore."

History is controlled by concrete powers that operate behind the scenes, hidden from the public eye. They are "powers of darkness." These occult world rulers are guided by "spiritual powers of wickedness in the heavenly places"—in other words, the devil and his minions. Therefore, all their plans must be hatched behind closed doors. As soon as anyone tries to thwart their plans or expose them and succeeds, they are eliminated, even if they are President of the United States. JFK enlisted the entire national press to expose the secret societies and their secret influence. This speech from April 27, 1961 is still available in many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many versions on YouTube. John F. Kennedy went completely against the foreign policy he was supposed to pursue, according to the powers behind the throne. Awakened by the Cuban Missile Crisis, he abandoned the belligerent foreign policy that all US presidents had followed and to which he had initially adhered, and began pushing for peace in every possible way. There is information pointing to a plan for withdrawal of all troops from Vietnam and peace negotiations with the USSR. The assassination of Kennedy, in which the CIA and the Mossad played a significant role (see this long documentary, which is censored on YouTube), therefore marks a U-turn in US foreign policy (and almost none in domestic policy). And why are the JFK files still not fully released by that same CIA? The Warren Commission investigation was completely corrupted, as were all investigations into major "game-changing" events.

The "secret societies," mentioned by J.F. Kennedy's speech of April 27, 1961, which together constitute a global "conspiracy" against humanity and, ultimately, against God, are precisely what the four apocalyptic horses represent. It is a meticulously organized, extremely powerful structure of interrelated secret organizations that place and direct their agents in key positions worldwide. When Kennedy saw the plans that he was supposed to carry out and what they could lead to (World War III with the use of nuclear weapons), he decided to turn against these organizations, resulting in his definitive elimination and replacement by a puppet who obediently did as he was told (Lyndon B. Johnson) and who revived both the Cold War and the Vietnam War. Against this factual background, suppressed or even hidden by the media, the actions of the apocalyptic horsemen can be understood as an intensified continuation of what had been going on for at least a century.

Besides disobedient politicians, figures in the alternative media who are starting to receive too much attention are also being sacrificed on the altar of secrecy. A prominent reporter in the alternative media of the 1990s, Bill Cooper, was murdered shortly after 9/11. He had already announced the attack and its scapegoat, Osama Bin Laden, six months before 9/11 and was busy trying to wake up the US.

The devil's way of working is the exact opposite of God's way of working. The Bible does speak of "mysteries" or secrets, but these have all been revealed by God. Before Jesus came to earth, people could not yet understand everything. Since his coming and completed work, the time had come for God to bring everything into full light. When Jesus was arrested, the high priest Annas asked Him about his disciples and his teaching. Jesus' answer was, "I have spoken openly to the world; I have always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where all the Jews meet, and in secret I have spoken nothing. Why do you ask Me? Ask those who heard what I said."

The Bible therefore differs greatly from history books. Not only because it indicates in advance what will happen, while history books only reveal it afterward. The second major difference between the Bible and history books is that the Bible reveals the invisible reality behind events. So, not only: Someone comes onto the scene and achieves victory – war comes – famine comes – mass deaths occur. Besides this sequence of future events, the Bible also indicates the powers that bring this about: the apocalyptic horsemen. God and his Word are not fooled by outward facades and straw men. “No creature is invisible to him, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” In his Word, God pierces through the outward appearances that are constructed in our society and by which naive humanity is seduced.

And it must be emphasized again: the horsemen of the Apocalypse in Revelation 6 are not judgments from heaven. These are powers to which humanity has surrendered itself. Over a period of about a century and a half, God has been replaced by matter, billions of years of imagined evolution, human intellect, science and technology, politics, money, healthcare, and entertainment. Instead of loving the LORD God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our strength, humanity sacrifices itself on the altar of these new gods. There will come a time when God will surrender humanity to the powers and gods to which it has surrendered itself. This will happen when the first four seals of the scroll are broken by the Lamb. The powers humanity chose as their gods, are the apocalyptic horsemen, who exercise their power through the organizations that embody and control all aspects of society—the horses. The character of the idols that humanity chose over the one true God must be established once and for all. Therefore, the idols are given every opportunity to shed their masks and reveal their true colors.

By severing ties with the one true God and throwing themselves into the lap of science, technology, politics, and the media, humanity thought it would enter a safe and neutral territory, where it would be completely autonomous and subject to no one, dependent on no one. The reprehensible little book in which Friedrich Nietzsche declares that we have "killed" God bears the title "the merry science." Humanity discovers just how merry this science is through the actions of the apocalyptic horsemen. The old lie of being "equal to God, knowing good and evil" still works. This, however, is a grave misconception and always ends in death. Those who cut their ties with God discover, in a horrific way, that they have become slaves to anti-God, dark, demonic forces. These are forces bent on the destruction of their own slaves. There is no independent media, technology, science, or politics. Everything is completely infiltrated by occult organizations that have led humanity en masse away from God and brought them under the influence of idols, leading humanity from there to damnation. It is these occult societies that John F. Kennedy so eloquently described to the assembled media in his speech of April 27, 1961. That was a very brief moment in which the public was given a glimpse behind the scenes. With Kennedy's death and a more rigorous screening of all subsequent presidents, it was also the only such moment.

Horses in the Bible represent military rulers. But here in Revelation 6, we find a very strange situation, unprecedented in history. Historically, one military power always fought against another military power on behalf of the king and the civilian population on whom that king depended. Whenever civilians were killed, this was considered collateral damage, an unfortunate side effect of warfare. For example, starving the civilian population was never a standalone goal. Sealing off a city from outside food, causing food prices to skyrocket, was a means to achieve a military objective: to gain control of the city as a stronghold and from there to continue fighting and conquering territory. Starving the city was a strategic tool. But here in Revelation 6, the horses don't fight against each other but march together in battle formation against the civilian population, and the goal is the destruction of the civilian population. The army unleashes its attacks on its own citizens. Instead of defending the civilians, the knights on horseback attack them. This is unparalleled in history, and that's what makes the apocalyptic horsemen so difficult to understand. Many explanations remains limited to general disasters that will befall humanity. But these are not general disasters. This is calamity consciously, knowingly, and with technology and resources unknown to the common people, brought upon the citizens of the world by a small, militaristic elite.

But then, of course, we want to know as precisely as possible who these horsemen and what those horses are. The horsemen are—insofar as they are given the space from God's throne—autonomous. They are the deeper spiritual powers behind the scenes, the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly realms. Revelation 6 is directly linked to Ephesians 6. The absolute world elite is in contact with the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly realms. They control "horses"—the fighting machines of antiquity. These horses are the human military forces, which exist in the form of secret organizations with a hierarchical structure and iron discipline, controlled by evil spirits from the invisible world. These are the secret societies with which all who wield official power are closely connected in one way or another. These organizations, which operate exclusively behind closed doors and outside the media's gaze, all have a militaristic structure.

Some of these orders derive directly from the medieval knightly orders, which in turn originate from the ancient Roman Empire. That is why the image of the riders on horses in Revelation is so striking. These powers cannot hide from God, and they are openly mentioned in the Word as the powers that are directed against humanity. Some of these organizations bear the militaristic character in their name, such as the "Sovereign Military Order of Malta," (SMOM) or simply "the Maltese Order," which includes members of the Royal House of Orange, such as Bernard and Beatrix. These people are not primarily princes and kings. They are primarily knights in the secret military order. This is how they demonstrate their loyalty. This is how they derive their legality, not from people, country, or constitution. That the constitution is considered toilet paper has been apparent since the beginning of 2020, for those who don't live under the rock of the mainstream media.

Other well-known SMOM members include Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela. Incidentally, this order, like the other orders, is officially subordinate to Rome. This is revealed in Revelation 17. But all other occult societies are also formed according to a militaristic structure. The Jesuits, the Freemasons, the Rosicrucians, Scull and Bones, "The Order of the Garter." This last order bears the motto "Honi soit qui mal y pense," "woe to him who thinks evil of it," in its banner. Criticizing secret societies is considered unacceptable. Those who do are stigmatized as "conspiracy theorists" or even "crazy idiots." If you become too dangerous, you're murdered. They are soldiers, knights. This is how they try to shield their secret clubs. Anyone who wants to read more about these secret, all-controlling societies can find information here.

Anyone not connected to these organizations never advances. Virtually all government leaders are subjected to these secret alliances with a corpse-like discipline and only carry out what they are ordered to do. Donald Trump is no exception – Qanon is controlled opposition, just like David Icke's "Reptillians" story and the "Flat Earth" theory. These military orders employ military tactics and strategies. One of these is: pretending to be your enemy to mislead your enemy and the rest of the world. These tactics are also known as "false flags." The media will never reflect reality. They are under complete control, and no reporter will ever dare to publish a serious report about these secret organizations.

Want might say: 'But we don't want to live in such a world'. No, that's right. Nobody wants to live in such a world. But looking away offers no solution. That's fooling yourself. Humanity will soon be cruelly removed from the playground it has been misled by for decades. That process was more or less already started with the artificially created Covid crisis. Increasingly larger sections of the playground are closed off to the public, and eventually everyone must leave through the exit, where the harsh reality of the apocalyptic horsemen will descend upon humanity like a hammer blow. God and his Word have never presented a different picture of the world than what ultimately leads to Revelation 6: namely, that the whole world lies in the grip of evil. That the devil is the prince and god of this world. That this present age is "evil." But be of good cheer, says Jesus, I have overcome the world. Only through Him is there hope: His coming for His church in the rapture, before the apocalyptic horsemen can fully unleash their weapons, and His return to earth to put an end once and for all to all evil world powers after 3.5 years of heavy oppression.

The horses of Revelation 6 are the invisible militaristic structures that lurk behind the outward forms of society and organizations of government, science, and the judiciary. The riders are formed by the invisible and unknown world elite and the spiritual powers behind them. These shrouded organizations all have their own websites with histories and objectives, and the strange thing about this is that they all have a Christian flavor. They all have a cross, yes, a cross!, in their banner. To become a member of the Freemasons, for example, you must believe in a Supreme Power, an Architect and Governor of the universe. This so-called Christian character is precisely the characteristic of the type of people and organizations Jesus warned against. "Take heed that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am Christ.'" And Paul wrote: "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ." And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. Their pretended Christian identity is nothing more than a cover for their true, deeper motives and goals.

The dark organizations that hold sway over this world, because of evil control—the murderer of humans from the beginning – have no good intentions for humanity. Secretly, there have been age-old plans to exterminate most of humanity as soon as they are no longer needed. Although masquerading as charities, the hidden philosophy of these secret organizations is that humanity is a kind of "cancer" that is exhausting the Earth. And in their reprehensible and distorted, devil-driven worldview, they see it as their duty to keep their own species under control. Oil barons have been engaged in "eugenics" since 1900, directing the human species and arrogating to themselves the right to determine who should live and who should die. The disgusting reason why they themselves should be allowed to live while most others should die is that, due to their position in the world, they are supposedly more intelligent than the rest and therefore, from an evolutionary perspective, have a greater right to continue existing. Here and there, they reveal their motives within society, and if people don't pick up on them, they don't actually deserve to exist in this world. A quote from a secret paper drafted by the Bilderberg Club in 1954, titled "Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars," states: "A nation or people of men who do not use their intelligence is no better than animals that have no intelligence, and is equal to beasts of burden and steaks on the table."

The people who run these secret organizations are not only controlled by the evil one but also knowingly blinded by the evil one. Each and every one of them is a hardened evolutionist who, with every means at their disposal, tries to elevate humanity to what they believe to be a higher plane. It is the liar from the beginning who whispers to them that they can become "like God." One of the goals of science and technology, and the conduct of genetic experiments, is to halt or even reverse the aging process. To be "like God" means not only all knowledge but also "eternal life." "You will not surely die" was the lie. The evolutionary process provides an almost moral reason for experimenting on humanity, because it brings humanity one step closer to godhood. It is characteristic that the four hardcore "new" atheists were called "the four horsemen." Because, in their view, people are nothing more than the coincidental products of a chance-driven, purposeless process, human life has no value for them and can be experimented on without any worries. This is done through the full deployment of science and technology. For the general public, a sham debate is being conducted about the "ethical" aspects of experimenting with human genetic material, but at the highest levels, it has long been decided to exploit this as much as possible. The Earth is becoming a vast laboratory, and humanity is being used as test subjects in a global experiment.

With the so-called Covid-19 vaccine, the grand experiment on humanity has, in fact, already begun. This is not a vaccine; this is gene manipulation. Tens of thousands have already died from the injection worldwide, and millions are experiencing moderate to very serious side effects, while the shot appears to be counterproductive in countries with the most vaccinated people. The world's rulers don't care. Human life that consumes valuable resources must even be eliminated. They are "useless eaters." From this pernicious worldview, of which we as Western society have said "never again," plans are afoot to eliminate those who, in their eyes, don't reach the new level they have set. After all, if "eternal life" comes within reach of the elite, and this is awarded to all "collaborators," then the rest of humanity must die out as quickly as possible. Otherwise, the Earth will become far too crowded. For at least a century, plans have been secretly hatching to achieve this in the most orderly and inconspicuous way possible. And so we arrive at the pale green horse, with "Death" as its rider.

Only the pale green horse is given the name of the one riding it: Death. The institution that for a long time seemed to abode  humanity believing itself safe and at peace with its appointed authorities, ends with a "pale green horse," "Death." "There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof leads to death." Nowhere is this principle more widespread than in Revelation 6. The name of the rider, "Death," matches the color of the horse: pale or pale green is a corpse color. And he is followed by the realm of the dead. They are seen as two separate powers: "Death," the infliction of death, and "Hades," the realm where the dead reside. This indicates that we are dealing with very dark spiritual forces bent on the extermination of people.

"Death" is sporadically presented as a person in the Bible. And usually, it is also figurative, as in Psalm 49: 'Like sheep they are laid the grave; death shall feed on them’ or Psalm 55: ‘Let death overtake them as a creditor’. Only once is death mentioned as a person in a non-figurative sense, and that is in combination with the term ‘hell’, exactly what we find here. It is in Isaiah 28:14: ‘Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you mockers, you rulers of this people in Jerusalem! Because you say, “We have made a covenant with death, and with hell we have made an agreement; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, it will not come near us; for we have made falsehood our refuge, and in deceit we have hidden ourselves…’. Through this unique combination of ‘death’ and ‘hell’, represented as persons, the Bible gives us insight into the rider on the pale green horse. From the context of Isaiah, it appears to refer to the restored Roman Empire, with which the leaders of Israel enter into a covenant, believing themselves safe from hostile powers in the North. Later in Revelation, the future of this "empire" and this "covenant" is revealed.

The secret agenda of the pale green horse, the secret powers operating out of sight of newspapers and cameras, is to drastically reduce the world population, leaving no more than half a billion. This is not being hidden. The Georgia Guide Stones, where this objective is engraved in stone, are now well-known. In a recent warning against the "Great Reset" by the World Economic Forum, Bishop Vigano refers to these stones as a signal from secret societies to humanity about their criminal plans. Some secret societies reveal their meaning in their name and symbolism alone: "skull and bones," also called "the brotherhood of death" and designated by the number "322." This organization is strongly linked to the Pilgrim Society—another name with a "Christian" connotation. All secret societies are strongly connected and form a worldwide network ("tightly knit," as JFK indicated in his 1961 speech). Both Presidents G.H.W. Bush and G.W. Bush were members of "Skull and Bones," and they are the ones who started the wars in the Middle East under the pretext of outrageous lies, wars that have led to millions of deaths. The lie behind the first invasion of Iraq was "the incubator story." The lie behind the second invasion of Iraq and almost the rest of the Middle East was 9/11.

Incidentally, all wars of the twentieth century were started on the basis of lies and served solely the agenda of those in power behind the scenes. But that's nothing compared to what's yet to come with the breaking of the fourth seal. It's about gaining power over a quarter of the earth to kill. But that's much less far-reaching than the actual goal of the rider on the horse, death, and the realm of the dead that follows him. The intention is to preserve half a billion of the approximately eight billion people worldwide. These powers actually want to drive 95% of the world's population to death. Just as with the black horse, a limit is set here from God's throne to their actions. With the black horse, it was about a limit to scarcity. And here, with the pale green horse, it's about a limit to the territory where killing can take place—not the entire earth, but only a quarter of it.

It's important to read carefully. This doesn't say that a quarter of the world's population will be killed. The rulers of darkness are given power over a quarter of the earth to kill. This is a limited, though very large, area within which they receive this power. This does not mean that everyone in this area will actually be killed, although it will certainly be very many. Which quarter of the earth will be given over to the destructive power of "death"? We just saw the strong connection with Isaiah 28 and the world empire with which Israel makes a covenant, the restored Roman Empire. This refers to the Western world. But historical developments and recent history also point to the Western world as the area that will primarily come under pressure in the event of a world war. It is the region of the world that has not experienced major calamities and disasters since the Second World War. It is precisely the wealthy, self-sufficient First World, which, with its high standard of living, has placed a heavy burden on all natural resources, that is being attacked by the powers, which themselves originate from the Western world, and they are given the space to do so, and only for that purpose. It is easy to explain why this is the case. God's purpose is to awaken the formerly Christian West, which has completely fallen away from God since the mid-nineteenth century. It has been lulled to such a state of slumber by countless lies from the devil's labyrinth that drastic measures are needed to bring people of the West back to Him. All the misfortunes God allows have, at their core, one purpose: to make humanity look up to Him again, the only Source of eternal salvation. We see this reflected in the history of the people of Israel, but also in specific scriptures such as Psalm 107, with the repeated phrase "then they cried out to the LORD in their distress," followed by "and He saved them from their distresses."

The motive of the dark forces is to prey on the Western world. This motive was already present in the twentieth century: it was about subduing the white population, who are closest to those in power and are therefore genetically and intellectually seen as the greatest threat. They did this by pitting white against white, English, Canadians, and Americans against Germans and Italians. All the ceremonies and expressions of "nie wieder" (no more) over the past 75 years served nothing more than to give Westerners the idea that humanity had transcended such barbarities, so they would not recognize the plans for a new, much greater war of destruction. The idea that humanity has been on a morally higher plane since the founding of the UN will prove a terrible mistake when the fourth seal is opened. The UN itself is also an extension of the evil powers, an organization completely at the service of "Lucifer," the devil. When the pale green horse is allowed to appear, the white Western population will see where its governing authorities stand: on the side of the destroyers.

The most important reason to think about the West—the US, the UK, and the Commonwealth (Canada, Australia, New Zealand) and the EU—is the reference to Isaiah 28, where those with whom godless Israel makes a covenant are called "death" and "the realm of the dead." This is the restored Roman Empire, which is foremost embodied by the USA. The four apocalyptic horsemen represent nothing less than a final, great grab by the powers behind the official institutions for totalitarian world power, from which they can make possible the rise of "the beast from the sea," the restored Roman Empire, which we read about later in Revelation. It is the "great reset," the "build back better" envisioned by the World Economic Forum. A world where it literally says: "You will own nothing and be happy." Everything is owned by the 0.01%, and the rest of humanity is property-less. In such a world, the total control of Revelation 13 can become a reality. Therefore, Revelation 13 is synonym with the apocalyptic horsemen - seen from the angle of historic development. But the apocalyptic horsemen do not seamlessly transition into the kingdom of the beast. First come the warnings of the trumpets, with God's judgments descending directly from heaven, violently awakening humanity to the reality in which we live – a reality in which God is more powerful than humans.

If, when we think of the "fourth part of the earth" of the fourth horseman, we are to think of the entire Western world, of which the historical development is seen in the three important "city-states" that have formed in recent centuries of history: the Vatican, the City of London and Columbia within Washington, DC. These city-states have been secretly dominated by the global elite. Each of them is marked by an Obelisk, an expression of the god they serve: Ancient Egypt, which is Ancient Babylon, which is the devil, the adversary of God. Each of these city-states represents an important aspect of the world order. The Vatican: the religious world. The City of London: the banking/economic world. Columbia: the military world. However in the past century all power has shifted to the USA, seen in the enormous dimensions of the Washington-monument of 169 meters high (whereas those in Vatican city and the City of Londen are only 25 and 21 meters high) - and seen in the overwhelming influence of Washington in world affairs.

The fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. In the "Come and see," the fourth, pale green horse comes forward. The eagle indicates the speed with which this process takes place. The pale green horse immediately follows the red and black horses. Therefore, the means by which "death" is inflicted are also the instruments we already saw with the red horse (a great sword, used to kill, not to restore order) and with the black horse (the scales or yoke, representing artificially created scarcity and consequently enormous famine).

We already hinted at the possibility of the "great sword" being the reintroduction of the guillotine, which is essentially nothing more than a large sword for chopping off heads. Plans for this are in an advanced stage. This form of execution is already regulated in many laws, at least within the WHO and in certain US states - see here. Many are already in place in the US, all of course in the utmost secrecy. This is primarily in the US, the military arm world governance, the red horse. Here and there, a whistleblower is crying bloody murder. A film director has already paid with his life for his overt depiction of the guillotine in relation to Freemasonry. It's quite possible that the great sword of the red horse will only be fully deployed under the pale green horse's influence. It's the same word for "sword" we find here. This sword is used almost exclusively for dissidents in the eyes of the established order, those who resist the new world order, of which the apocalyptic horsemen are the military vanguard. These are, in any case, those who hold God's word for their lives and bear witness to it. We encounter their souls under the fifth seal. Their resurrection is mentioned in Revelation 20, after the second coming. The way they are described there hints at death through decapitation: 'and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus'. (Rev.20:4)

Furthermore, "hunger" is also mentioned, the instrument of the black horse. Due to high prices, people will lack essential nutrients, become weak, and thus perish. Bankers already have so much power and food production is so concentrated, just like the seed industry, that it would be easy to completely paralyze the food supply. Farmers have been severely marginalized for several years now, and it seems as if there is an attempt to destroy the sector. Insecticides can trigger a food crisis due to bee mortality. Lobbyists wield so much influence that they have governments in their pockets.

But then two more things are mentioned, by which death is committed, that weren't mentioned at the former horsemen: "death" and "wild animals." "Death" refers to (contagious) diseases. The plague in the fourteenth century was called "the Black Death." But there's a key difference with the plague in the fourteenth century. That was caused by unsanitary conditions. Meanwhile, so much has been learned about bacteria, contagious diseases, and hygiene that an epidemic like "the Black Death" is almost impossible to occur. Therefore, "death" in Revelation 6 isn't a disease that just falls out of the blue, but a disease inflicted by the power riding the pale green horse, which, moreover, bears the same name as its rider. It seems that the power riding the horse is strongly characterized by this specific cause of death. The same Greek word is used twice: "thanatos". Somehow, the world controllers of darkness are managing to make people sick en masse through biological warfare.

Since last year, we've known how they could do this: through a vaccine that is said to protect against the disease it inflicts. The Covid-19 vaccines are the major scandal that will cause massive deaths among those who have taken them. According to official statistics, these are primarily people in the Western world. Moreover, since last year, it seems as if the world is being ruled by a medical dictatorship. The rider on the horse, "death," is also a major cause of death. To achieve all this, it's necessary to deceive people en masse with something that seems good: the government cares about your health, your safety, and is trying to protect you. The deceptive behavior of governments that has been going on for centuries is aggravating.

Finally, the wild animals are mentioned. We don't necessarily have to think of lions and tigers, but it could also be about plagues of insects or mice, which seem to be increasing in recent years and are also claiming many victims. This isn't an autonomous increase in these animal species, but a deliberately planned plague intended to further deplete the population. In that light, the recently designed mosquito, released in Florida, is significant.

One more thing about the timeline of the apocalyptic horsemen. That's missing. Revelation 6 gives no indication of the timeline, other than the breaking of the seals by the Lamb. We can assume that the Lamb breaks the seals in quick succession and that it therefore concerns a relatively short period of a maximum of a few years. After the breaking of the six seals, the judgments from heaven will begin.

When the horses of Revelation 6 will begin to manifest depends on only one thing: the rapture of the church. Before that, the horses will have no room to maneuver. Only after the elders—the church and believers from before—are gathered around the throne will the Lamb take the scroll and break the seals. Until then, the horses, which have long been fully harnessed, will be trembling with impatience. If we already see certain characteristics of Revelation unfolding around us, it indicates that the rapture of the church is very close—they are the first moderate birth pangs.

It is also important to note that the apocalyptic horsemen act in close connection with each other. These are events that logically follow one another. The rescue of the people that are oppressed by the empire (white horse) is followed by resistance and struggle (red horse), resulting in a disruption of food production and logistics, and thus hunger (black horse), and consequently a decline in resistance and the immune system, resulting in disease. The powers reinforce each other. However, the imagery of horses clearly indicates that this is a separate exercise of power by militaristic organizations, which bring the relevant plagues upon humanity. The overall story of the apocalyptic horsemen boils down to a global conspiracy against humanity by a small satanic elite. It is a conspiracy that was hatched long ago and is slowly unfolding. Anyone who is not completely blinded by the mainstream media sees it becoming reality all around them. The elite's roll out of the coronavirus is already being called the worst crime against humanity in history. However, the full manifestation awaits the rapture of the church.

Verses 9-11

Fifth Seal - Martyrs

And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they held. And they cried out with a loud voice, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" Each of them was given a white robe. They were told to rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers, who were to be killed as they were, would be completed.'

The horses of the first seals are absolutely not judgments from God. Horses 2-4 are the resistance of the world's rulers of the darkness against the Lamb, who, by breaking the first seal and releasing the white horse, shows that He is in the process of claiming his ownership rights over the earth. God does not cause discord leading to slaughter (red horse), does not impose a yoke of slavery with hunger (black horse) through clever trading, and does not cause sickness and death (pale green horse). This becomes even clearer with the opening of the fifth seal. The fifth seal reveals a significant consequence of the actions of the horses 2-4. Then John sees under the altar the souls of those who were slain for the Word of God and for the testimony they held. This clearly demonstrates the aversion to God and the Lamb from the occult powers in the world, who are under the command of Satan, or Lucifer, as these occult movements themselves call him.

Suddenly, John sees an altar. An altar has not been mentioned before. In various parts of the book of Revelation, we encounter heavenly attributes that God had given for the worship of his people Israel in the tabernacle and later in the temple. In Revelation 4, we encountered: the ark—placed in the Holy of Holies of the tabernacle (the throne of God); the lampstand—placed in the Holy of the tabernacle (seven fiery torches); the laver—placed in the court of the tabernacle (the sea). Here, the altar suddenly appears, also placed in the court of the tabernacle.

Under the altar, John sees the souls of the slain witnesses of God. We must immediately connect this with the blood of these people that has been shed. The Bible teaches that 'the soul is in the blood' (Hebrew: nehphesh), usually translated as "soul"). Here we have the souls, the blood, of the witnesses under the altar. This means that the lives they gave are seen as sacrifices to God, as libations, that is. Just like Paul, who twice speaks of his plight, because of his testimony, as a libation. But here it is the blood of the witnesses that was offered as a libation. Like the blood of the sin offering, which had to be poured out at the foot of the altar.

Note that sacrifices that people offer with their lives are never called a burnt offering (holocaust) to God anywhere in the entire Bible. There is only one burnt offering for God in the Bible, and that is the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. That is the burnt offering that God would provide for Himself. In all other instances where the Bible speaks of a burnt offering of people, it is an abomination, something that God has a profound aversion to. It is therefore a very serious error on the part of the world and the people of Israel, who should know better, to refer to the victims of the persecution of the Jews as a "holocaust" or a "burnt offering." At most, it could be a libation, and even that is debatable. The fact that the term "holocaust" is not only used but also protected, allowing anyone who violates it to be legally prosecuted, is something for which the world has been deeply guilty for decades. It is these kinds of things that will bring righteous judgment upon this world.

John hears the speaking of the souls, that is, of the blood. The blood cries out for vengeance, just like the very first blood ever shed on earth, the blood of Abel. In contrast, there is the blood of the only true burnt offering ever offered in history, and to which all the burnt offerings of Israel point, the blood that speaks better than Abel. But here again, we have blood that cries out for vengeance. "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will you not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"

"Those who dwell on the earth" is a catchy phrase in Revelation. It refers to those who feel at home in today's God-hostile world, which has rejected Jesus Christ, and who, with Satan as its ruler, are trying to make the best of it here and now. This includes doing what they are commanded from above. It is something that astonishes many who still have a functioning conscience, how all sorts of so-called authorities, against all norms and values and all forms of decency, "simply" do what they are told. It is the same spirit in which the most horrific atrocities were committed in Germany between 1933 and 1945, the spirit of "befehl ist befehl" It is the spirit by which government, science, and management are considered the highest authority, and God and his word are no longer taken into account.

In such a culture, one easily drifts toward a class-based society in which certain citizens have more rights than others. The class whose rights and freedoms are taken away is increasingly discriminated against, increasingly cornered, increasingly stigmatized, until the moment arrives of isolation, abuse, and even outright murder. The souls under the altar and their loud cries show that this is where things are headed. Under the second seal, we already saw a red horse emerge, which would take peace from the earth and, moreover, was given a great sword. The horses represent the secret networks of militaristic power behind the scenes, which have infiltrated everything, even the churches, and which also control the governments of the world. They are given the task of first creating divisions in society, with people seeking each other's lives and therefore willing to betray one another. Their motto's are "divide and conquer" and "order out of chaos." According to the authorities, the occult societies command them to use segregation to behead undesirable groups in society. As we have already stated, the great sword could very well be the reintroduced guillotine.

The big question about the fifth seal is, of course, what we should make of the souls' "loud cry." Is that meant literally or figuratively? In the latter case, it is comparable to the blood of Abel, who was killed by his brother Cain and of whom God says to Cain: ‘Hear the blood of your brother crying to Me from the ground.’ But the point is that here, in Revelation 6, it speaks of ‘souls’, not of blood. To follow a figurative explanation, a translation from souls to blood must take place based on the text ‘the life (or the life) of the flesh is in the blood’. But in Revelation 6 there is more to it. The souls are addressed. ‘To each of them a white robe was given, and they were told to rest for a little while longer, until their fellow slaves and their brothers, who were to be killed as they were, were filled up.'

The figurative interpretation, that this is only about the blood under the altar of those sacrificed for their testimony, is untenable in light of the speaking to the souls and the handing over of a long white robe to them. Anyone who takes this passage seriously must conclude that the souls of God's slain witnesses are truly aware of their situation, and with their blood, the souls also consciously cry out for vengeance. To understand this, we must briefly consider what the Bible teaches about death. The Bible has a very clear teaching about the resurrection from the dead. One day, God will raise all who have died from the graves, whether they were buried, cremated, or dissolved in an acid bath. That makes no difference to God. All people are resurrected by Christ. And after their resurrection, all people will be judged by God. Everyone will appear before his judgment seat. Christians included. However, they have received grace and righteousness based on their faith in Jesus Christ. That is why it is so incredibly important for every person to believe in Jesus Christ.

The Bible is much less clear about death. This is one of the great differences between Judaism/Christianity and other religions, which speak only of bliss after death. That state of bliss, Nirvana, or whatever it is called, does not exist. The Bible speaks of death as a sleep, a state of being unaware of anything. For example, Jesus said to his disciples about the dead Lazarus: "These things he said, and afterward he said to them, 'Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go to him, that I may awaken him from sleep.' Then his disciples said, 'Lord, if he sleeps, he will be made well.' But Jesus had spoken of his death, while they thought he was speaking of natural sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly, "Lazarus is dead."

To fully understand this passage, it's necessary to briefly discuss what the Bible says about death and resurrection. See also this page on this website. Death is generally understood in the Bible as sleep. Many texts use the word "sleep" when referring to "death" or "dying." Psalm 115:17 states: "The dead do not praise the Lord, nor any who go down into silence." It is also important to note that initially, the devil had power over death. But Jesus essentially destroyed this power. Through his death on the cross, Jesus stripped the devil of all his power. Since the cross, Jesus has had power over death. He says in Revelation 1:18, "I am the First and the Last, and the Living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever." Amen. And I have the keys of the kingdom of death, and of death itself.

As God, Jesus is the First and Last. As Man, He is the firstfruits from the dead, and after His victory, a number of Old Testament believers rose with Him. Jesus Christ will exercise His power over death in stages. At the rapture of the church, all believers who have died up to that point will be resurrected. At His return to earth, approximately seven years later, the deceased believers from the seven years of tribulation will be resurrected and reign with Him for a thousand years. This also includes the witnesses of God, whose souls we see under the altar at the opening of the fifth seal. (Together, this is the "at His coming" of 1 Corinthians 15—at the beginning and end of the seven years.) After the millennial reign of Christ, all unbelievers will rise for the final judgment of their lives before the great white throne. Because they have not chosen Jesus, their portion is the lake of fire. It is the absolute end of their existence—they will be lost. The Bible calls this "the second death."

Generally, death is an unconscious state. But there are exceptions. We see this in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. We also see this in the suffering of Jesus on the cross, where He says to one of the thieves crucified with Him: "Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise." There are special cases among people, Lazarus, the thief on the cross, who experience death as a conscious state. But the biblical indications about this are the exception, not the rule. Another kind of exception is that the dead can sometimes "arise" from their sleep of death. In the Old Testament, God explicitly forbade his people to try anything like that. But when Saul, in his desperation, consulted a diviner and she summoned the dead Samuel, Samuel actually arose from his sleep of death and said: "Why have you disturbed my rest by summoning me?"This shows that his soul was ‘at rest,’ in a state of unconsciousness.

Something similar occurs here, with the opening of the fifth seal. Only now it is the Lamb, Jesus Christ, who holds the keys of death and Hades, who, in the name of his authority, summons these slain saints upon the opening of the fifth seal and gives their souls the opportunity to cry out what is on their hearts. It is a cry for vengeance. A perfectly justified cry, because the crimes against humanity have been piled up to heaven after the misdeeds of the anti-christian, militaristic, occult powers of the horses 2-4. In the second seal, the red horse is given a ‘great sword,’ which is used to kill upon the breaking of the fourth seal under the influence of the pale green horse.

If we turn to chapter 20 of Revelation and see the resurrection of the souls that are crying out for vengeance, we see that they were killed by beheading. Given these texts, the sword seems no different from the reintroduced guillotine. The opening of the fifth seal is therefore of great significance. It reveals that the events under the first four seals are absolutely not divine judgments, but crimes by a small occult group of people against all of humanity and thus against God, in whose image every human being was created. These militaristic horsemen have murdered without end, and the public has been deceived en masse and went along with the demonic elite in everything. We see this happening all around us now. The guillotine will only appear with the opening of the second seal, which is after the rapture of the church. The second important clue of the fifth seal lies in the slaughter of God's witnesses, which demonstrates that the judgment that will unfold from heaven from the sixth seal onward will be entirely just.

That "rest" is the normal state of those who have died is clear from this passage. They are each given a long white robe and are told to "rest a little while longer." This seems to indicate that they were already at rest. However, they already receive a reward for their martyrdom in the form of the long white robe, which is promised to overcomers in Revelation 3. What this "rest" entails exactly, we do not know. The most logical assumption is that they will "sleep" again.

And will their cry for vengeance be fulfilled? Essentially nothing is said about it. Instead of vengeance on their executioners and the responsible people, depicted by the riders and horses of the first four seals, it is said that more martyrs will follow. They must rest "until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who were to be killed as they were, is completed." The final reckoning with those responsible—the kings and the great ones of the earth whom we will encounter under the sixth seal, the drivers of the demonic horses of the first four seals—will only occur when the crimes have reached their fullness after  3.5 years of oppression and demonic activity on earth.

Verses 12-14

The Sixth Seal

'And I saw when the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood. The stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its unripe figs when it is shaken by a strong wind. Then the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its places.'

The imagery used to describe the events that take place when the first five seals are broken indicates that this concerns the actions of the forces on earth that oppose God, who do not want the dominion of the earth to pass into the hands of the Lamb. The horses are the ancient orders of knights that have developed over the past centuries into global militaristic organizations, controlling all forms of earthly power. Anyone who in the past attempted to expose these organizations and their influence has been ruthlessly eliminated.

The Lamb is the greatest threat to these rulers. When He breaks the first of the scroll, and comes in the white horse to rescue his people that are on the verge of extinction, this signifies that He will soon begin to claim His rights on earth. Thus a tremendous resistance erupts. Because that resistance cannot be directed against Himself. it turns against His creatures. People are turned against each other, starved, and finally murdered with deadly diseases—possibly a consequence of all the injections that have been administered worldwide. A great sword, which could refer to the reintroduction of the guillotine, is unleashed against all who side with the Lamb by testifying of Him.

With such horrific crimes against humanity, the earth itself cannot help but be moved. Anyone who reads this passage carefully will see that something is not primarily happening in or around heaven, but on earth. That the earth is suffering greatly from moral abuses is also evident from other biblical passages. In Proverbs 30, we read a connection between the shaking of the earth and events in society: "For three things the earth quakes, and for four which it cannot bear: for a servant when he becomes king; for a fool when he is satisfied with bread; for a hated woman when she is married; and for a slave woman when she inherits her mistress's property." This refers to people who suddenly receive something that does not align with their character or position.

This has been going on for centuries within the context of secret networks. We encountered these secret organizations under the seals 2-4 as the "horsemen of the apocalypse." Many positions are only attainable through these societies. Within these societies, a "befehl ist befehl" mentality prevails. Important positions in society are occupied by people who are not so much capable, but loyal to one of the secret societies behind the scenes. We have been seeing the consequences of this unfold for years. It leads to a breakdown of all values and norms, the destruction of society, and the introduction of unhealthy lifestyles and patterns, and with the 2021 plandemic, the introduction of a global murder program through so-called healthcare. The earth is then "shaken."

The shaking of the earth is initiated from heaven by the breaking of the sixth seal. It is also an expression of God's wrath against all the evil that people perpetrate on earth, as Jeremiah writes: "But the LORD God is the truth; He is the living God, the everlasting King. At His great wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure His indignation.'In the Ol d Testament, we find several "earthquake texts" that can be linked to the sixth seal of Revelation 6:

Haggai 2:7 "For thus says the LORD of hosts: Yet a moment, and it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations…"

Isaiah 24:18 "For the floodgates on high will be opened, and the foundations of the earth will shake. The earth will be rent, rent, split, split open; the earth will stagger terribly, the earth will reel like a drunkard. She will toss to and fro like a hut, her transgression will weigh heavily on her; she will fall and never rise again."

Rampant immorality, initiated worldwide by governments and driven in the background by criminal occult societies, provokes a tremendous earthquake on earth. These texts make it clear that the great earthquake originates from the throne of God. It is God Himself who makes the earth tremble. Haggai immediately mentions heaven, the sea, the dry land, and all the nations. These are also mentioned here in Revelation 6: sun, moon, stars, heaven, every mountain, every island, and then a whole host of people. Isaiah also mentions heaven as the source of the earthquake. It is evoked by the unrighteousness of people on earth, but decreed in heaven: "the floodgates on high are opened." This is not about water, but about something else. After all, God has promised not to destroy the earth again by a flood. The next judgment would consist of fire, and that is what comes out of the floodgates of heaven, as we will see several times.

That cosmic forces are at work in this earthquake is evident from the description. After the earthquake, the sun is mentioned first, which "becomes black as sackcloth of hair" and the moon, which "becomes like blood." Then, stars of heaven are mentioned, which fall to the earth, like a fig tree casting its unripe fruit when shaken by a strong wind. This description is strongly reminiscent of volcanic activity. A volcanic eruption has the following phases:

(1) A series of earthquakes

(2) Emissions of gas

(3) Emissions of ash

(4) Lava flow and, in the case of intense volcanism, lava bombs and burning boulders.

The emissions of gas and ash cause the sun to be eclipsed and the moon to shine blood red. It depends on where you are on Earth. John covers the entire picture of the Eastern and Western Hemispheres and their development over time. In places with the most volcanic activity, a solar eclipse will occur, while the moon shines blood red in places where the ash is less dense. When the ash has spread across the earth and has thinned out at the eruption sites, the sun will become more visible again (the sackcloth of hair will become transparent), and the moon will appear blood red everywhere on Earth. But then, during intense activity, burning boulders and magma bombs will fly through the air. These are not literal stars from the sky. Stars are glowing balls of gas the size of the sun or much larger. They could not fall to Earth. The Earth would be swallowed up by them and immediately evaporate completely. In his metaphor, John also clearly indicates how the stars fall to earth: like unripe figs when the fig tree is shaken by a strong wind. This means the fiery rocks originate from a single source and crash to Earth along a relatively horizontal path. However, it could also be a meteor shower. Most meteors we observe are "shooting stars," which burn up completely in the atmosphere. However, larger ones can penetrate the Earth's surface and impact, creating a crater. An interesting phenomenon, first observed in 1833, is the Leonid Meteor Storm. See also this site. Optically, it appears as if the meteorites are falling from a single point: the mane of the lion in the constellation of the same name, Leo. How fitting. After all, the Lamb is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and he wildly shakes his mane because of the resistance on Earth at his breaking of the seals. This storm occurs once every 33 years, the last time around the turn of the century. So, it will take a while.

It could also be a large comet or asteroid with a swarm of smaller meteors around it, closely passing the Earth, causing unrest in the Earth's crust, such as the earthquake and volcanism. This may be related to John's next mention: "And the heaven departed as a scroll being rolled up." We should think of the image of a scroll lying on a table and being rolled up from one end. What then happens is that all the letters move in the direction of the scroll. When a close-by comet or asteroid affects the Earth's rotation or tilt (or both), this can affect the positions of all the stars in the sky. The Earth's tilt and rotation may be altered, as happened in the time of Joshua.

It goes without saying that this has an enormous impact on everything on Earth, and John concludes with: "and every mountain and island were moved from their places." If all the mountains and islands were to move even a centimeter due to the impact of the earth's position and rotation, no building would remain standing. Global chaos would ensue. Tsunamis would wash away many structures and flood land. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus links the phenomena of the sun, moon, and stars to the raging waters: "And there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars, and on the earth distress among nations, in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves."

Various places in the Old Testament also state that God performs great signs in the heavenly luminaries in his judgments on the nations. A text that bears a strong resemblance is the prophecy about Edom and all the nations. Edom is, in a sense, the precursor of the Roman Empire, which in the US-empire will encompass all nations in the Endtime of the last 3.5 years.

'For the LORD's great wrath is against all nations, his fury against all their host. He has utterly destroyed them and given them over to slaughter. The entire host of the stars in heaven will be destroyed. The heavens will be rolled up like a scroll, and all their host will fall like leaves falling from a vine and like figs falling from a fig tree.'

The similarity with the sixth seal is striking, where heaven is also spoken of as being rolled up like a scroll and stars being cast like figs from a tree. This similarity again reveals that this refers to the Roman Empire, which has already spread worldwide as the US-empire, which hides behind nice sounding human right institutions but in the end will show its true empirical face in opposition to the rule of the Lamb. Another text that bears a strong resemblance is God's judgment on Babylon, which, like Edom, was also a precursor to the Roman Empire:

'Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger to make the land desolate and to destroy its sinners from it. Yes, the stars of heaven and their constellations will not shine; the sun will be darkened in its rising, and the moon will not cause its light to shine. I will repay the world for its wickedness, and the wicked for their iniquity. I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and I will humble the haughtiness of the violent. Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place, because of the wrath of the LORD of hosts and because of the day of His fierce anger.'

Here we also find a darkening of the sun and the moon, but no stars will fall to the earth but will be darkened. We will find this later in Revelation. We also find the earthquake and the shaking of the heavens in this passage.

A natural explanation, involving volcanism, a comet, and meteorites from space, obviously doesn't mean it's outside of God's control. However, God very often works based on natural causes. He has constructed his creation in such a way that the earth normally experiences no adverse effects from what floats around in space. As Isaiah says: "He did not create it to be waste, but he formed it to be inhabited." But when humanity fills the measure of its sins, God uses what floats around in the universe to unleash precisely the violence on earth that corresponds to his righteous wrath. It is not for nothing that the four living creatures rest day and night, crying out unceasingly, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, who is, and who is to come."

Alternative Interpretations of the Sixth Seal

Some interpreters of Revelation reject a literal interpretation of the events under the sixth seal. We will discuss two such interpretations here. First, it is argued that the cosmic events under the sixth seal provide a poetic description of "the end of the present creation." Reference is made to Psalms 18 and 104, where God's actions are rendered in poetic language. In Psalm 104: "You stretch out the heavens like a tent (2). You have established the earth on pillars forever; it cannot be moved. (5). You have made the moon for the times; the sun knows when to set. (19) There will come a time when God will bring an end to his first creation and create a new heaven and earth. That end will mean: the sun will fade, the moon will turn red, the stars will fall or become dark, and the heavens will be rolled up."

In the same context, they also see the prophecies about the heavenly bodies in the context of Egypt, Edom, Babylon, and God's enemies in general. And although the stars would have come down at that time, they still remain in the vault of heaven. The conclusion is then drawn that this passage must be interpreted figuratively. The following objections can be raised against such an interpretation. First, in Revelation, we are not dealing with a book of poetry, but with prose. Secondly, the book itself explicitly indicates the meaning when something is to be understood figuratively. For example, with the image of the lampstands and the stars in Revelation 1. Thirdly, and even more importantly, God can only destroy his current creation once, and that doesn't happen in Revelation 6. After Revelation 6, many chapters follow, which—as we will see—chronologically follow Revelation 6. Fourthly, and most importantly, God has indicated what the end of the current creation will be. It will be consumed by fire. The elements will melt away with fervent heat. Heaven and earth will no longer be "found." This goes far beyond a darkened sun, a red moon, and stars falling to earth.

And of course, the stars are still twinkling in the night sky, because this isn't about the large stars of other galaxies, but about the "shooting stars," the meteors and meteorites, which may also have marked the end of Babylon and Egypt. With these kinds of explanations—which simply tie together a few texts and ignore the rest of God's Word—God's children are only confused. The sixth seal is absolutely not the end of the world, but in that sense, this explanation is correct; it does ring the bell for the end of a "civilization," namely the present evil age in which Satan rules the human world through his occult instruments (the four horses, which exerted their influence under the first four seals)—just as happened in the case of Egypt and Babylon. The Lamb arrives at the breaking of the seventh and final seal of the scroll, which will open his way to the absolute final victory and the total redemption of creation.

A second explanation given for the signs in the heavenly bodies and the shifting of mountains and islands is the faltering of earthly powers due to uprisings or revolutions. Earthly rulers fall, are removed from power. Or they no longer have complete control over their war machines and society turns into chaos. Stars are indeed also used to refer to angels or earthly messengers. That is the correct interpretation of Revelation 2 and 3. We see this also in Joseph's dream, in which the sun, the moon, and eleven stars bow down to him. These stars are Joseph's brothers. We also see this meaning in Daniel's dream, when the goat in the dream casts down the stars of heaven and tramples them. These are not literal stars or angels, but rather the most important figures from the people of Israel, who would be killed by the Greek empire in the desecration of the temple. This was fulfilled around 150 BC.

That a mountain can represent a kingdom is evident from Daniel 2, where the stone that overturns the image becomes a great mountain, encompassing the earth, the kingdom of the Messiah. When Isaiah prophesies that every mountain and hill will be brought low, this could very well refer to human powers that will be swept away: "Against all the high mountains and against all the lofty hills, the pride of man will be brought low, and the haughtiness of men will be bowed down. The LORD alone will be exalted in that day."

But it is highly questionable whether this is also meant here, at the opening of the sixth seal. First of all, the book itself gives no reason to think of earthly powers. The stars are mentioned in the same breath as the sun and moon and heaven. So those stars do not signify angels or high-ranking people. And even if that were the case, who are the sun and the moon? Which government leaders? The beast and the false prophet? That topic isn't addressed until much later in the book, and it's also addressed in time. And what, then, is the difference between the sun's darkening and the mountains and islands being torn from their places? All figurative explanations offered are pure euphemisms based solely on poetic passages from the Bible.

But the most important argument against a figurative interpretation is: it doesn't fit the context at all. The context of a Bible verse is the most important guideline for interpretation. And we saw here, with the four horsemen of the first four seals, that the earthly powers are very firmly in the saddle. So strong is their power that they cause infighting between peoples, famines, and epidemics. Dissidents are eliminated with a great sword. That the cosmic events in heaven and on earth must be taken literally is most clearly demonstrated by the collective reaction from all levels of the world's population. It's not just the kings and high-ranking officials who are hiding out of fear of a revolution or a popular uprising. No, all people are hiding because of what's happening. And they all know where the violence on earth comes from. These aren't revolutions, angry populations, or rulers who have lost control. This comes from "Him who sits on the throne and the Lamb."

Finally, one can certainly see that the breaking of the sixth seal isn't simply the trigger for revolutions, power shifts, or any kind of social unrest. After all, that has happened continuously over the past 2,000 years, and to a much greater extent than could ever happen now. The problem of our time is precisely that, over the past centuries, those in power, with their militaristic structure, have behind the scenes acquired such an immensely powerful position for themselves that all resistance is futile. The occult powers are more firmly in the saddle than ever and can only be thrown from their horses by the intervention of God with cosmic powers. That will indeed happen from the sixth seal onward. But it's a long road, lasting several years.

The earthquake and the subsequent celestial phenomena are unfolding on a global scale. This is not symbolic language but must be understood literally, with the understanding that the "stars falling from heaven" are not stars in the scientific sense of the word, but rather "shooting stars," or meteorites. However, the actual earthquake and celestial phenomena do indeed have a spiritual meaning. The deeper meaning of an earth in turmoil and great signs in the heavens is that a shift is now about to take place from the earth (earthquake) toward heaven. Sin and ungodliness of humanity on earth have taken on such monstrous proportions that the earth is literally shaken. The earthquake provokes a definitive intervention from heaven. We see this happen immediately from the next chapter. From Revelation 7 onward, angels suddenly start to appear. In chapter 6, angels were not yet mentioned. There were horses, earthly, militaristic powers, such as the secret societies, who unleashed their wrath against humanity.

The second spiritual meaning inherent in the global catastrophic phenomena is that God will bring an end to the world empires that have dominated the earth for so long and under whose terrible idolatry all sins and injustices have been committed. All secret societies, collectively represented by the last three horsemen of the apocalypse, have their roots in ancient Babylon – Egypt – Edom – Rome. Elements of the occult cult can be found in abundance on the internet. What they are secretly doing is too terrible to explain. Judgment is announced against these occult powers through this earthquake and the natural phenomena. Hence the similarities with judgment announcements about Babylon, Edom, and Egypt:

About Egypt:

Ezekiel 32:7 “I will cover the heavens when I extinguish you, and darken their stars. I will cover the sun with clouds, and the moon will not give its light. I will darken all the lights of the heavens for your sake. I will bring darkness upon your land, declares the Lord GOD.

About Babylon:

Isaiah 13:10 “For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light; the sun will be darkened in its rising, and the moon will not cause its light to shine… Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place, because of the wrath of the LORD of hosts and because of the day of His fierce anger.”

About Edom (Rome)

Isaiah 34:3 “Their slain will be thrown away, and their stench will rise from their corpses. The mountains will melt away with their blood. The whole host of heaven will be dissolved. The heavens will be rolled up like a scroll, and all their host will fall like leaves falling from a vine and like figs falling from a fig tree.”

It is important to note that throughout thousands of years of history, God has repeatedly used one world empire to punish and destroy another. These empires replaced one another but failed to learn from history. Each time, the next empire took over the world of the gods from the preceding one. This is because the empires themselves are controlled by the same powers of darkness, the "arche" (very often meaning spiritual powers). Since the Fall, humanity has submitted to the devil and his powers, and only through Jesus Christ can humanity be freed from them. But this requires one thing of humanity: a voluntary and total surrender to Jesus Christ. This final choice is something each individual can make for themselves. That person is then "saved from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of His love."

At the end of time, which we are now rapidly approaching, the last (Roman) world empire will be destroyed in its final phase of exactly three and a half years by Jesus Christ. Afterward, He will take over the rule of the earth, leaving it to the people who chose Him to fulfill what has always been God's intention: to subject everything to humanity in a blessed state, but humanity in Christ.

The earthquake and heaven's cosmic response trigger desperate fear in those who hold positions in earthly power structures, whether at the very top (kings) or at the very bottom (slaves and free people). They know that the end of their rule is approaching because the Lamb will intervene from heaven, deploying his angelic powers. It is the Lord of hosts, the Lord of heavenly powers, who will act. Indeed, from chapter 7 onward, we see these heavenly powers constantly at work in the form of angels. 

Verses 15-17

"And the kings of the earth, the great men and the rich men, the captains of thousands, the mighty men, and every slave and free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

Two major earthquakes with cosmic consequences

Unfortunately, there is much confusion among Bible commentaries about the meaning of this earthquake and the subsequent signs in the heavens. Because of the striking similarity to the signs Jesus mentions in the Olivet Discourse, many believe that the visible coming of Christ in glory, with the clouds of heaven, occurs immediately after the sixth seal. The Lord indicates the following in the Olivet Discourse: 

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven; and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:29)

In his Olivet Discourse, Jesus also speaks of the darkening of the sun and moon, the falling of the stars, and the shaking of the powers of the heavens. This strongly resembles what takes place under the sixth seal. But if this were the same event, then the remainder of Revelation, from chapter 7 through chapter 19, would describe the same period as the first six seals, namely the last 3.5 years of Daniel's final week. This view, however, contradicts the biblical data.

First, the description of the first five seals is completely different from the description that follows. One could argue this by saying that under the seals, a description is given of earthly powers, and from the sixth seal onward, a description of heavenly powers. However, in chapters 11 and 13, earthly powers are again mentioned. But there they behave very differently. There, no attempts are seen to exterminate everyone, but attempts to subject everyone to the world religion of the beast and his image.

Second, reading the sixth seal as immediately following Jesus' coming would violate the clear chronological observations of Revelation. It clearly states: "hereafter" at the beginning of chapter 7, which should then be equated with the very first "after this I saw" of Revelation 4:1. And Revelation 8:1 states: "And when he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven...". Next, we read of the angels blowing the trumpets, causing the earth to be struck by a series of six consecutive judgments from heaven. This can only mean one thing: that the judgments of the trumpets follow chronologically the events that occur when the seals are broken. Therefore, they do not occur simultaneously. The trumpets only begin after the Lamb breaks the last seal. This makes sense, because only then does the Lamb begin to cleanse his inheritance, the earth.

Thirdly, the behavior of "those who dwell on the earth" at the sixth seal does not correspond to the situation at the Lord's return from heaven. In the sixth seal, the rulers hide from "the face of Him who sits on the throne" and from "the wrath of the Lamb." At the visible coming of the Lord in glory in Revelation 19, the rulers have gathered in the the surroundings of Jerusalem to wage war against the Lamb. This is such a stark difference in behavior that it cannot be one and the same event. There are at least some years between them.

The fact that there are two very similar descriptions does not mean that they always refer to the same event. God does many things twice. He creates heaven and earth twice. He destroys the earth twice (first by water, then by fire). He gives Israel His Ten Commandments twice. Jesus cleanses the temple twice. Jesus calms the storm twice. Jesus provides a miraculous catch of fish twice. Jesus feeds a large crowd twice. Thus, in the future, there will be two major earthquakes combined with great signs in the heavens. What may seem strange is that the behavior of "those who dwell on the earth" is so different in both cases. One time they hide in fear of the Lamb, the other time they wage war against the Lamb.

However, there is an explanation. Although the destructive power of the first earthquake was enormous and a large part of the infrastructure was destroyed, the wrath of the Lamb did not come. Life could more or less continue as usual after the earthquake, and after restoration work, the established order can continue its plans on earth. If something similar to a major earthquake occurs again, the expectation is that the return of the Lamb will again fail to materialize and that these will merely be "empty cosmic forces." Moreover, Revelation 16 initially speaks of a struggle between West and East for hegemony in the Middle East. Only in Revelation 19 does their struggle turn against the Lamb returning from heaven. They think they are a match for Him. They are terribly mistaken and they will be swept away from heaven by the returning Lord.

A second reason for the completely different behavior during the first and second great earthquakes with heavenly signs is that just before the second manifestation, a tremendous operation of Satan and his demons will occur. In Revelation 16, it is the "three spirits like frogs" from the mouth of the dragon (Satan), the beast (emperor of the empire), and the false prophet (king of Israel), who summon all the kings for the great battle with the Lamb and gather them in the plain of Armageddon. They fall into the devil's pride and suffer a tragic fall.

Back to the sixth seal. A key question, of course, is how the established order so directly connects the earthquake with the heavenly signs and "the face of Him who sits on the throne and the wrath of the Lamb." After all, we are dealing with a world government that has been guided for centuries by the powers of darkness and that, when the Lamb broke the seals, acted wrongly against those who brought the word of God. Yet, this is not so strange. The world's elite knows full well what the Bible says about the end times. However, they interpret everything in such a way that it seems as if they are the ones who must bring the kingdom of God to earth and through whom God must manifest himself. They do not serve the God of the Bible, but Lucifer, and fall for the age-old temptation that they can become like God and possibly even that they will not die—hence the quest for immortality, eternal youth.

However, when cosmic violence breaks out, it awakens a panic within them, which thunders down through the organizational structures. In this passage, God outlines the pyramid structure of the aforementioned apocalyptic horsemen, the entire edifice of the established order. It is the top of the pyramid that first realizes what is happening here, not the bottom, where the "slaves and the free" reside, the executives within the organizations and those outside of them.

In Revelation 17 and 18, we see the kings of the earth interwoven with the web of the great Babelylon, the ancient mystery religion that has been embodied in the Catholic Church for centuries and which has been taken over by the last world empire - the Western world. These visible kings are not even the most important. They are the most important families who wield all the power behind the scenes, the power behind the throne. These are the kings of the earth who, according to Psalm 2, "conspire against the LORD and his Anointed." We see these kings in Revelation 16 preparing for the final battle against the Lamb. In Revelation 19, we see how they are defeated by the Lamb when he descends from heaven on the white horse.

Next are the "great ones," who, according to Revelation 1:8, are the "great merchants," the people who hold all the economic reins, the powerful old noble bloodlines, the elite behind organizations like Blackrock and Vanguard. Then come the "rich," those who have acquired great wealth through the positions granted them by the elite, such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and so on, those everyone thinks are the richest people on earth. Then the "captains of thousands," are mentioned the highest military leaders, those who, in ancient Rome, were at the top of the legions. One of them played a key role in the rescue and imprisonment of Paul. Next we see the "mighty ones," those who possess the ability and skills to carry out orders from above and manipulate everything to their advantage. Last but not least are the slaves and the free. Slaves can also be servants or "members," "devotees" of those who gave orders. These are those who, according to the principle "order is order," carry out everything they are ordered to do. The free are those not connected to the power pyramid and are still below the "slaves" in society.

It is very important to pay attention to what exactly all these people cry out in their fear of the forces of nature. They do not cry out to the One they know is summoning the forces of nature. No, they cry out to "the mountains and the rocks." Their attitude is profoundly materialistic. They do not cry out to God, but to matter. And they ask matter to hide them from God. In essence, this is a continuation of what humanity has been doing for centuries. Humanity has decided for itself that it originated from matter (theory of evolution), and this supposedly exempts humanity from responsibility before God. Many people are cremated and think that the absence of their material condition protects them from eternal judgment. In essence, they believe that matter is eternal and that the spiritual is a manifestation of matter. It is precisely the opposite. Matter was created by the eternal Word. This eternal Word can at any moment resurrect all the dead, decayed, and cremated bodies - and one day God will do so. Therefore, it is futile to cry out to mountains and rocks to hide from God. Nothing can hide from the face of "Him who sits on the throne." By hiding, you cannot escape the wrath of the Lamb. There is only one way to escape His wrath, and that is to flee to the Lamb. "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous flee into it, and it is safe." Acknowledging your own sinfulness and imperfection before Him and accepting Him as Savior and Lord makes you righteous. But rocks and mountains can no more hide from God than the trees in the garden could, immediately after Adam and Eve's first sin.

Caves and Rocks

Another important point is the place where all of humanity seeks refuge "from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb." These are "the caves and the rocks of the mountains." Given the events of the sixth seal, where "every mountain and island was moved from its place," there is likely little else to hide in. Humanity's entire infrastructure has been destroyed. Not a single building remains standing. The many underground caverns, bunkers, cities, and facilities have also suffered enormous damage and are now inaccessible. Only the very primitive "caves and rocks" of the mountains are still accessible.
