Jesus, Essence of Endtime

The core of the Endtime is not ‘the beast’ or ‘the image of the beast’ or ‘the mark of the beast’. Neither does it consist of the apocalyptic phenomena like earthquakes, eclipses, a blood moon, the impact of a comet and the effects of volcanism. However impressing they will be, all Endtime phenomena, from Apocalyptic horsemen to the last quake of the complete planet, are nothing but the stage for Him who once testified: 'I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me'.

The heart of the Endtime is one Person, Jesus Christ. He is adored by his followers for ages as God Who came in the flesh in order to save humanity and He is neglected, denied in rejected by the rest of the world.

While the influence of his followers has diminished, mostly due to their own failure to spread his light, the authority of the non-believing part of the world has greatly increased, to the point where the outward professors of Christianity have become instrumental in camouflaging the atrocities by the world empire. It will be in this setting of a ‘wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked’ Christianity that Christ Himself will take affairs into His hands and confront humanity with Himself, the One that has been neglected by the world from the moment He started his ministry, 2000 years ago.

Therefore Jesus is central in the Endtime. He was despised and rejected by the nation of Israel and brutally crucified by the Roman empire and these two powers will continue to vigorously oppose Him in the Endtime. And however much attention the book of Revelation gives to the empire with its vassals, it is not the empire that is at the center. The Essence of Revelation is Christ, the Lamb of God. The empire and its vassals will wage war against Him with all weaponry that was developed through the ages. The reasons for this monstrous ‘beast’ being part of the Revelation of Christ is that it shows to what depths the world has sunk and how mighty a Savior Jesus Christ is, that He will be able to set humanity free and to bring her to heights that were reached never before.
